"Trading is an intriguing business...if the folks at SEBI have a faintest idea about it...the next day ,they would quit their job and open their own trading business ..probably providing tips in about six months.Trading system is not a property of somebody with an accounts background. ".. original opinion to icharts. |

Excellent opinion Amit . I dont think traders need to worry as they share trading ideas and opinions or their trades. I somewhat agree with SEBI in terms of regulating the advisory industry (it is an industry today ). Claims of 100%, 90% or even 80% success, guaranteed profits, blockbuster calls, jackpots and what not have duped many people who see stock market as an ATM only to realize their capital become vapour (some will say yes they should loose for being idiots). The lure was so attractive that every broker started giving calls (even we tried, but never made any claims on success or tired to advertise it). Today Facebook and Whatsapp will be closed in India if they remove the pages of people providing Tips and guaranteed and enormous profits . Yes, many genuine analyst s will be impacted, but being genuine one need not worry. Follow the process. Short term pain, but long term gain.

PT: what happens to "pros" giving live calls and tips? is sebi going to insist that at least they should have 50% success rate ? (heads-tails karo to bhi 50% success aa saktha hai!)
if so, then i am happy because we can avoid getting scary posts, emails, TV shows and tips saying heaven will fall on our head and NF is collapsing to 4000! or some such rubbish
Cheers, Prakash Holla |

Nakum, rrk: you may want to clearly specify that these are just your opinions as a trader and you are posting it as your trading journal.
PK sir : Yes, you will see all those diminish with time . (You should claim royalties from Amir and Raju Hirani for using your name for the new movie )

PT, it's sad to see that even Hardy has to use emoticons now, more than 70 years after he "invented" them. |

PT: Nice clear reply to rrk, nakum. Should remove any doubts still remaining.
Lekin, mereko ye 'SIR' kyon? This is a democracy. And I am not the great son-in-law of even greater Pasta Queen!
(Trading is the greatest democracy of all. The market doesnt care a damn whether u r young, old, m, f, fwd caste, SCST, rich, poor. Only your trade details matter.)

1 Jaise aapki marjee! PT-Sir! I cannot force you, after all.
2 I am as old as Vinay28 but like him, young at heart
BTW once more let me point out, PT, you have to agree that electronic share market is the greatest leveler. So why single me out for such an "un-sought" honor? Cheers, Prakash Holla |
