At the time of this trade, MACD seems to be rising on 15min chart.
still short trade? was trying to understand, not to question your trades which have been superb.

Please ignore above observation since I was looking at macd based on ema. You have advised sma.
Can I see 15min real-time chart with macd without requiring subscription?

VINST,
Many thanx....u have pointed a v.good thing.
i lost 20 points in trade no 25....i knew ,this trade was going to be a loss....but i was missing the vital point....yes....it is MACD WAS RISING...and i should have closed my position at only 5 pts loss.....THNX AGAIN.
My software has sma,ema,wma type of macd. i tried with only sma....cant say about ema.

Can we go short here? Please see the purple-coloured arrows on the price line as well as on the indicator below. The MACD has neither crossed the signal line nor at least, below the zero line. Please comment.

the chart u have posted has macd sma type or ema type ?
because i used sma type only and i think u had posted ema type macd.
moreover, at present, i m having prev day chart only for 5 days, so not able to comment on 5th july trades.
i had shorted as the system gave a sell signal....i had not applied my brain a little bit also....just followed....that is all.

looks like there is an additional condition of high of previous bar to be crossed for long entry (provided macd in buy mode)
sonila may please comment.

| yes Vinst i was about to post that... i also noticed the same condition...Sonila , this method seems very logical and robust..kindly comment upon the entry conditions..as u ahve already explained exits and stoploss.

closed my short @ 5365 with 2 pts loss as i have some other works now.
by the way, vinst and amigo.....what u have suggested is v.good i.e crossing high of prv buy incase of bullish c/o and vice versa....i think v.vv.good,

| Today nf slipped down to 5228 which could have given me a cool gain of 25/30 pts as i shorted @ 5263. But i had to leave my workstation early for some other work. Life is like that......
