Nifty future 8196 on 10th june
Nifty spot 8170 on 10th june
Nifty spot 8 EMA 8185 on 9th June

Since we trade in future, do we should have gone long on 10th at 8185?
OR
We have to go long in future when spot price will go beyond 8185?

Following this strategy for sometime.

Lot of whipsaws is indeed a problem.

In my experience, in this method, when there are a lot of whipsaws, it's usually a sign of indecision and leads to a trending move soon where we can gain 200-300 points.

Since we can trade in future only,
we should follow spot price and take a trade in futures as per strategy

So in your case, it will be
We have to go long in future when spot price will go beyond 8185?

I am following future price instead of spot price and it seems working, back tested for last few months

Nifty 8 Dma rules are modified due to Nifty price trajectory so our old setup will not generate desirable gains at current situations.

So do not trade this setup it is not valid as off now.

Modified rules are not published yet..
