Hi Hansraj
As we are in short trade in Nifty from 5229 and 12 EMA is far away from Nifty present levels, why are we selecting 4800 to 5100 in Nifty call/put thread, is it not better to have selling call/put in range of 4900 and 5200

i m sorry to hans and amit for editting some of their sentences, but i think i will be forgiven if the main rules are not tarnished.
i was working hard to understand the rules and have tried to present the whole thing at one place
pl hans look into it and make corrections if needed

sorry amit, pl correct me if i m wrong
make following additions if found correct
in " For long trades", "if bids do not ....."
add "& nf is also below trigger price ie. 12ema"
similarily
in "For short trd", "if bids do not ...."
add "& nf is also above trigger price ie. 12ema"

Please try to take the things in a positive way. If there are editing in rules or in sentences, that's for betterment. If i change few sentences in my posts, I do it within 5-10 minutes. I never go back and change my sentences in back days. Hundreds of people are daily taking printouts of this thread for their reference, can check and confirm. We are here to learn and improve the system. The rules given by me were the rules being followed by me. But with the suggestions, querries and problems discussed, if rules are being moulded for betterment, what's wrong with it? I therefore, keep requesting all the people to read the entire thread so that they should know practically what has happened. Final compilation of the rules is yet to take place and that will be done at the time of closure of this thread. Before closing this thread, I will post the final rules with explanations. The set of compilation submitted by you is even more confusing. I will post entire rules with examples and it will also contain FAQs.
But one thing is sure, the basic rule i.e. 12 ema will not change.

You are mixing up two different trading patterns and seems to be little confused. 12 ema rules has nothing to do with option sellings. 12 ema rule is for swing trading and option selling is for hedging strategy. Please donot mix it up and try to understand both the systems separately.

| Buy Nifty Future at 5178 on 25/01/2010. If Nifty Future triggers at 5178, then place stop loss 50 points below this level. The stop loss will be valid for 25/01/2010 only. The trigger price is 12 EMA on closing price of Nifty Future as on 22/01/2010.

regards
i wud like 2 suggest something which suddenly cropped up in my mind
after getting triggerd in any direction , the rule is 2 keep a sl of 50 points on the trigger day, from the next day the sl is 12ema, OK
i wud like to suggest that how will it work, if, from the next day also, we keep our sl at our buy/sell point -/+ 50, till nifty earns 50 points in our direction, so that we dont get whipsawed till a clear trend is determined . i hope i m clear in my message

Hi nilu
We got similar situation on 18, 19 & 20 dec. But we followed the rules. The whipsaws are for short moment and have little impact keeping in mind the plan in its in entirity for atleast one year. You have to book small losses. If you go through my trade list, I have to book loss of 158 points in a single day, but till date getting more than 2000 points since march last year.
