so dec short gave 24 points--covered at 5870
jan short at close at 5935----so cost now is 5960
so keep stop loss above 5960--
book profit at 5910- -tommorow |

Hi Rahul,
You have done enormous amount of backtest and posted many good uses of MA's + filters.
However, One thing still disturbs me. All filters are absolute values. Better to convert them to % of NF. reason is that method+filter of 12 at 5000 NF would be ok but would whipsaw at 6000 by 1 or 2 points since 6000 may need slightly larger filter.
example:
NF in range of 5000 with filter 11 points works well.
instead of 11, use 11*100/5000 = 0.22%.
use same 0.22% at NF range 5500 (leading to 12 as filter), and
use same 0.22% at NF range 6000 (leading to 13 as filter), and so on.
It should help in reducing your backtesting effort.

presently sma, 30 value on 15 mt tf is 5952. so nf is sure not trading above sma 30. even sma,30 low is only 5949. |
