Potade, I have a query. If OI in any PUT (or CALL) has gone up (as is explained on TV channels and as you have stated here), is it because of PUT buying or PUT writing?

VINAY,

IF CALL PRICE UP & OPEN INTEREST UP, THEN CALL BUYING ... ( BULLISH )

IF CALL PRICE DN & OPEN INTEREST UP, THEN CALL WRITING ... ( BEARISH )

IF PUT PRICE UP & OPEN INTEREST UP, THEN PUT BUYING .... ( BEARISH )

IF PUT PRICE DN & OPEN INTEREST UP, THEN PUT WRITING .... ( BULLISH )

Vinayji, just one typo is there. Read it as 'BULLISH'

Thank you potade and arjun. Then how do you connect it with figures (in crores of rs.) of buying and selling in F&O by FIIs. Do you get this figures immediately or after a time delay by which they are already in public domain?

Also, how do you differentiate (meaning come to know) FII buying in futures and selling is options?

open nse website

after ur preferred interval check for "changes in OI" column, a +ve value means oi increasing and - ve value means oi decreasing, interpret it with real time change in ur instruments' price(call/put/fut ...anything)

dont apply this if u r not good in OI interpretation, it takes lots of time to master this art also, so u better do some net practice with it then when u hv enough confidence, use it in ur real time trading

if needed, u can look here too

Casper, I think you didn't get my question. I understand the philosophy but i wanted to know how potade connects them in his analysis since it is already in public domain and thousands of experts are already planning their strategies accordingly. In which case, how does potade's strategy have an edge?

Also, I didn't find any data on buying/selling of futures vis-a-vis buying/seling of options.

I AM CONNECTING REAL TIME DATA OF NIFTY FUTURE & OPTION FROM WWW.NSEINDIA.COM AND HAVE PUT SOME MATHEMETICAL FORMULAS TO GET TREND AS DISCUSSED ABOVE.

I DONT KNOW WHETHER THESE FIGURES ARE RELATED TO FII OR NORMAL WHICH IS IMMATERIAL FOR ME.
