there is a small difference (only 3 points) between NS / NF highs ... also the premium has come down today.. any significance...

to me it means at this level trading volumes / rally participation is not building up. discount is there in stock futures also. we need to go down again to get more volumes and OI. this height will not sustain due to lack of FNO participation.

“Anglo-Dutch company Unilever Plc(ULVR.L), along with Unilever N.V.(UNc.AS) will acquire about 487 million shares, or 22.52 percent, of Hindustan Unilever (HLL.NS) in a deal valued at about $5.4 billion.

The parent company will buy the shares for 600 rupees (about $11) each, 20.6 percent premium to the Monday's closing price.”

In normal conditions market should be really bullish on this news. But, it seems that the deliberations of Unilever were kept confidential and market doesn’t have any sort of prior information of such an announcement. It appears to be a surprise for the market.

So, market makers must be displaying their unhappiness by dragging down the market at least for time being.
