not entirely/clearly giving to me how this change affects.

Not clear to ANYONE how this will save a diving duck Rupee. Chiddu should have learnt from earlier SHAANPANA of $%^&*ing the banks that such stupidity did not save Rupee. Now killing MCX, Spot Exch will not stop Rupee from further plunge.
Problem is Chiddu is a Red hot socialist and thinks diff from rest of us. God save us from Delhi based "Inspector Clouseaus"

The CBI is ‘looking into’ the biggest foreign exchange scam in recent time, involving outflow of US$ 7.7 billion, manipulated by foreign financial institutions through greedy Indian dealers (banks authorised to deal in foreign exchange). The dollar drain has caused the present rupee tumble while reducing several high-performing business houses into near paupers.

“Around 400-500 exporters/importers have been hit across the country. The aftershocks of these 2007-08 operations are still being felt in our economy as this has been one of the reasons for the steep slide of the Indian rupee. The huge drain out of the US dollar from India had pushed up the demand for the dollar and the consequent fall of the rupee”, said a financial expert requesting anonymity.

Over 20 banks have been identified as culprits, selling forex derivates (to protect the importer/exporter from the risk of foreign currency rate fluctuations) to Indian companies after engineering them to bring gains to foreign banks while causing huge losses to the greedy Indian banks, which in turn passed them on to the customers.

Interestingly, the State Bank of India, which should be a role model for all Indian banks, figures in the list of 19 banks fined by the RBI in April 2011 for mis-selling derivates in contravention of RBI guidelines. SBI paid up the Rs 10 lakh penalty without murmur.

I won't be surprised if nifty opens 50-60 points gap up. A possibility, however small.

Very interesting! So not only do "HumSabseBadaCrook", "Shittybank", etc loot the retail consumer (esp the high earning nerds with no spare time, in IT) but they are also looting the corporate sector which supposedly has people with more knowledge of forex.
Or is it a case of foreign bank gives Re 1 bribe and gets Rs 100 work done ? It would be interesting to check bank accounts and life styles of senior finance executives in these Indian corporates!

Nifty for Friday (02/08/13)

Support is at about 5676, 5650 and 5610 while resistances are at about 5754, 5781, 5807 and 5950. Four +WWs can give about 5812 (once above 5665), 5879 (once above 5719), 5906 (once above 5664) and 5924 (once above 5846) (+WWs with higher targets are not mentioned as of now). A -WW can give about 5555 (-WWs with lower targets are not mentioned presently). A falling wedge/channel break out can give about 6045 if nifty remains above 5740.

Nifty fell sharply in spite of a gap up open and closed below 5750 again and is clearly bearish. Monthly chart is bearish showing -ve div. However, a +ve div is seen on lower TFs. Higher levels are possible only if nifty gives a weekly close above 5805. A close below 5715 can result in much lower levels as weekly support lies at 5600. Oil price and/or INR will remain key to the future of Indian markets in the short term. High VIX can cause sharp swings. Only global cues and liquidity can prevent further fall.
