be cautious of this rise... might to be trap people... unless 8300 cE high is broken, and sustained for 5/10 minutes, might come down again....

Does it help in regular trading? Because daily such open high combos are seem in many strikes.

Likely supports in Dec. That's why I now have a hedge of 8200pe and 8600/8700ce and will keep it "phatetak" till expiry or at least 8050/8650 whichever comes earlier, if they come.

vinay, look at the monthly chart... on SGX it seems to suggest an up side gap 3 methods (reliability moderate)...do u find anything similar..

damn all the stats abt dec being the best month for markets now gone for a toss... Sad

".....according to an observation made based on astronomy (based on sun's transit and NOT astrology) ), high/low of period 13/7 to 26/7 each year is vital. Break out/down in any direction gives good gains till 14/1 of next year i.e. 14/01/15 (12-90% gain seen in previous 10 years). Gains are high on second break out/down if first break down/out is false. Since high/low in this period were about 7841/7422, if we take just 10%, high/low of nifty till 14/01/15 can be 8625/6680 but, in reality, can be much more or less. Note that break out above 7841 has already happened."

high of 4/12 was 8626.95. Smile

the lower level calculated that time was 8164.37. Let's see how it goes.

This is just a personal view and neither a recommendation nor a tip nor an advice for any trade.

Nifty for Friday (12/12/14)

Supports are at about 8260, 8228, 8208 and 8170 while resistances are at about 8308, 8340, 8380, 8435, 8487 and 8499. A previous unfilled gap on lower side is at about 8169. Three +WWs can give about 8380 (once above 8308), 8580 (if above 8235) and 8600 (once above 8332) (+WWs with higher targets are not mentioned as of now). Two -WWs can give about 8190 and 8055 (-WWs with much lower targets are not mentioned as of now).

Nifty fell sharply again and closed below 8300 and continues to be bearish. However, the bullish div is becoming prominent and a reversal is imminent. Nifty is still in a "sell on rise" mode unless it closes above 8450 first and then above 8538. A close above 8450 on Friday may mean reversal has started but is very doubtful. Global and local eco-political events can have a bearing on how nifty moves in short term. Liquidity continues to be strong.
