IT stocks are the ones which are holding the market above 5950 levels...autos and Oil stocks are giving good support.....anyway, exiting the IT shorts yesterday look like an excellent decision now..... Laughing

Psalm,
Anylevel to watch out for in Bank Nifty....please lemme know ur views regarding the same.....
Thank
Andre

Andre, I was expecting some support for BankNifty around 12200 levels. I had even posted that in this same thread. The index went slightly below 12250 and then bounced back by around 150 or 200 points. I don't expect too much exuberence in BankNifty today, as SBI result is scheduled tomorrow. For SBI, levels around 2280 could be tested again later today or else tomorrow morning. So, overall, I don't see too much upside in BankNifty till, SBI result. Talking about technicals, the index has lot of resistance in the range 12490-12530. It will do well only if it starts trdaing above 12530 levels. In that case, there is chance of it testing 12580 and 12690 levels. There is chance of it testing the recent highs if it trades above 12690 on a sustainable basis. On the downside, levels around 12400 is the immediate support, below that 12340-320 area could be tested.

NOTE: There is CHANCE of it closing below 12350 levels today. Even in that case, I wont be too much worried, as long as it doesn't closes below the recent lows (closing). Smile

As expected, SBI has tested 2280...but that didn't make much dent to BankNifty.....so, I have a feeling that there is reasonable strength in that index.... Smile

If it closes above 5920, we may see a gap up tmrw.

I have been recommending PSU bank stocks for the last 2 days....many stocks are giving good opportunities now, I feel......I treat this as an opportunity to buy rather than getting nervous by the sudden dip in the banking counters for the last hour or so..... Smile

Nothing has changed, Taxmann.....But I wasn't expecting it to fall below 2250 easily....but I don't see it as a big problem at least now...if it remains there after the result, is another thing.....but as of now, I don't see much problem....above all, I had mentioned earlier that the BankNifty can close below 12350....but technically, that wont change anything.....But as per my methods, its a positive thing..... Laughing ....anyway, its about how you look at the markets....yes, there is risk.....but were is the risk when we're almost 50 or 55 points above the recent lows..... Smile ...

The thing I'm looking at the close is if we'll be able to close above 5931....if so, its a good day for a bull.... Smile

The issue was when we were at intra resistance, little help from UK was enough. It did not care much once the mood was broken. Smile
