when did this last happen it has announced a repo rate cut on a day other than a policy day?
i know they can do this for crr, especially around the time before advance tax is to be paid. |

that's not true Prakash, Raghu won't bend. he has given solid reason for it.
apka, what's your problem if it is cut without waiting for rbi policy review?  |

That is my point, Rajan has bent down and listened to pressure from Modi, Rajan, Nirmala et al

rbi decision looks sensible. whether it is 'bending' or taking realistic view of past 3-4 months of IIP+CPI behaviour, we may choose how to make fun !
rate cut is minor so inflation won't runaway. CRR is not changed, so caution on banks remains.
all in all, it is preliminary move. behaviour of pricing, industry to be watched who made one hell of a noise. |
