that's true apka, but very few elections matter to the markets but none lke ours. Smile

by the way, today's candle is very interesting. Also, nifty movement shows remarkable similarity with 09-10.

09-10: Vinay pls elaborate a bit for benefit of all so we don't have to do guesswork

9-10 movement showed that a rising nifty seemed to be forming a rounded top but before it could form, it zoomed up. Same thing has been happening. Two charts are attached. Granted that it doesn't have to happen.

By the way, as regards today's candle, first is that it's a doji showing uncertainty and then it engulfs five previous candles while being in a downtrend. Add to that a hidden div for some days and a mild +ve div today. People like chandru may accuse me to be biased but then I can't ignore such tell-tale signs. Smile

Point everyone should make note off...markets may deceive (and suggest bearishness) before rallying smartly one way (not a slow rise)..since 4-5 months have been stagnant...your point is very interesting and even more your memory...

I am going out now but if I get time tmrw, I will repost the same charts showing why nifty went up then and why it may do so this time also. I had posted them a year ago for giving some example.

USD/INR futures 61.470 -0.565 -0.91%

a 50 paise movement overnight normally confirms the movement for next day in nifty.

food prices have dropped, so i guess that will have an effect in reducing inflation figures and like amit said inturn anticipation for no rake hike by rbi.

The two charts posted again after some editing and addition. Make your own judgement. Basic concept is to emphasize power of (what I feel is a) hidden div over -ve div. Some may argue that it has already yielded its result this time. Important thing to note is that this concept doesn't preclude possibility a further fall before another rapid rise, if any.

first is a close above 6250. then 6292. BUT even 6360 is not safe for bulls.
