This has been the most bizzare incident that when 85% of the analyst predicted a status quo in Repo the Governor increased it by 25bps and yet the market did not go down. Something big is cooking for sure and I think its wise to go long in Feb options.
Vinay whats your take.

I did mention that some experts did expect a rise and I have heard them say so. So your understanding is incorrect to that extent. We will only know in days to come whether the fall till today had already discounted a rate hike. Further fall after announcement tells me that rate hike in msf wasn't discounted but later they realised that it's not serious at all. What's more, rbi gave enough hint that there may not be further hike.

Thats right , now more likely a flat expiry and then the steam to pick up in Feb. Laughing

you should also look at 5800pe for feb which went far far above R4 level and has to react due to writing, which means 5800 seems protected in feb. When nifty goes to 6250, if it goes there, it's worth a try buying 6000pe for feb. I also posted last wek that we may see feb nifty about 200-250 above expiry level. So accordingly one can try appropriate CE also.

I think it will try to close at/above today's high to give a bullish piercing cum hammer.

The other day I posted Bullish Gartley pattern in Ambuja Cement, in Individual Stocks thread.

Here is one in Bank Nifty

Please keep one thing in mind that these patterns will keep forming even if the stock falls to the lower levels.

So to enter any such pattern you must do your homework.

NIFTY Bullish Gartley daily tf 28.1.13

And the one in NIFTY, for which I was waiting since long.
(Yesterday, I posted a +ww in NF, in Wolfe Wave thread)
So it seems that sooner or later we will see a bullish trend, overall.

I will again add that
Please keep one thing in mind that these patterns will keep forming even if the stock falls to the lower levels.

So to enter any such pattern you must do your homework.

More so, being in daily tf, these are long term patterns.
