Nifty flag breakout has taken above 5905 or will wait for EOD close above that.

not yet. this can zoom both ways. If it breaks and remains below about 5887NS (and particularly 5871), I may buy puts. Or above 5930/40, I will buy calls. |

i've exited my long. not expecting 6000 to be broken in july series. expecting infy to take us down again tomorrow.
5 million volume was done in 50 mins opening and now 6 million volume done in 1st 90 mins. |

I am not tracking this put. what level of NF did you buy it? If you bought near today's high then I feel you should get out if NS goes up from here and remains above 5940. I feel it may now go down to 5894NS when you can book and buy again if if it breaks 5871. But better do your study as I am unable to access chart today. |

apka, I am also on guard about nifty. but you know too well that if nifty is going to go up, it will even if infy goes down. |

| I am having infy 2300pe but today I bought 2600ce also and will sell if it goes to 2600, which is likely and keep puts. I also have small 860ce of ril. |

apka, I am also on guard about nifty. but you know too well that if nifty is going to go up, it will even if infy goes down. |

the amount of premium the buyers are willing to on infy is amusing sometimes. yesterdays close near 2500 and 2500pe @ 136. today @ 2540 also same price.

apka, very true. infy seems to be a very big game. That's why I am hedged. The worst thing would be flat infy after results. That's why I will sell CE if I see it near 2600.
by the way, you could have carried your longs in nifty with TSL. I feel 5983NF may be possible today. |

To be frank I have not followed Infy and its options. After reading your posts I suspect there may not be a huge move and market makers may swallow the huge premiums both sides this time....a bright possibility. |

thats what i find the case to be in most infy result day trade, eod most option hedges turn into losses. |

apka/ rk/ vinay: congrats for exposing the Infy option writers. If price moves sideways, as is likely, then they will make a killing! I have never seen this kind of inflated values: CMP 2544, 2550C = 173-5, 2550P =172-3
