i'm trying to wrap my head around the rbi action, but can't understand why have they increased those borrowing rates and created liquidity crunch for the banks when WPI is under 5% now, and when it was above they gave crr and repo rate cuts? this is an opposite move against which banks may hike their base rates charged to customers. makes the crr cut and repo rate cut pointless sort of.

then you didn't get full stuff. the move is to snuff out currency speculators. It's a short term move that will hurt growth for some time but at the same time, borrowing abroad has become cheaper.

i see.

majority depreciation comes when SBI, Union bank buy dollars, they buy at any rate because they have to fulfill customer demand for oil payments. I don't suppose PSU banks engage in speculation, when they need dollars for payments they cant wait... so how it would even help much i cant see.

Nifty future yesterday makes only spikes low at 5844.40

Today if trade below our trading support then only close your all
nifty future long positions otherwise hold....target is same 6248 -6275

Nifty future strong resistance at our trading resistance level, once
