vinay..could u pl flash light on this issue...... nifty spot made high 6005 early morning and at same time Aug 6100 call made high 102.50 again now when nifty gone around 5993 call made new high at 103.10 when nifty was below 10 points. what the mkt makers want to show us ??

masa, it can mean two things. One, bulls expect much higher levels in august or writers are creating a bull trap. Latter is possible only because >100 price for a next level call (>100 away) with expiry just 5 days away is a bit too high. But, personally I am very bullish. check out buying in 6400 call also.

Perhaps apka can throw light on OI positions in all these calls/puts and whether price is going up or down.

one more thing, masa. banknifty is critically poised. nifty can not go up without its support. AND, any rally in it will be BIG.

OI in 6000ce has dropped while that in 6000pe has increased.

I go by the belief that SLs worked out by traditional and well known methods often get triggered either due to momentum or by stop hunters, the latter particularly if market makers are planning a big contra move. Hence I am a bit more conservative. For me, daily close above/below 6040/5910 is the key. Not much different from yours.

By the way, I feel it may open gap up today and react, followed by a gap down tmrw, gap up on monday, down on tuesday and sharply up on wednesday and thursday thereby breaching 6040 on the up (unless it happens today itself). All this provided 5910 is not breached.
