Ben Bernanke is making everyone mad I guess.

Everybody is angry with Subbu for not doing what they want. But what can RBI alone do when Govt will not reduce subsidy bill, streamline procedures, stop vetoing takeovers on silly grounds (Etihad/Jet), threaten buyer with tax bill (Vodafone, after Supreme Court has vetoed) etc etc
Everyone is angry with Ben! Now, Ben B has openly said QE WILL continue till unemployment falls below 6.5%. If people write and say rubbish that QE may stop blah blah blah, how Ben is to blame? We in India must note that US is just one source of FII funds which are nowadays coming from Japan, Korea, and 50 other places also! Cannot FIIs bring in Rs 5000 cr from the hundred billion+ QE already done by BB???

I think the JET-ETIHAD deal needs to be examined with utmost caution. The corridor to the west cannot be sold to these sheikh. It makes no sense to take a stopover on a 8hr trip from Mum-Lon via Abu Dhabi. Its inconvinient and stupid.

I feel risk takers can buy around 5770 NS with SL a bit below 5750.

SP: One day all airports will be like Abu Dhabi/ Dubai. Clean, well planned, spacious, futuristic. Since past 5 years, my sisters fly in from US only on Etihad/Emirates, these airlines have own terminal (like Air India has in Bombay). Stopping over in AD/D is such a delight passengers dont mind the wait! Also all planes latest, working well (unlike Air India which leases planes discarded by other airlines). Flying time from US is 3-4 hours less. No wonder all flights are fully booked. In this instance I would prefer fighting fit Sheikh-Sheikh to our seriously ill Maharaja!

Well I still prefer a direct flight from Mum-Lon rather stop in Shiekh land. Never mind clever travellers will not take Jet anymore and prefer Delta and AF. I personally take JET if I have to go to london as this particular service is world class. When I travel to US i prefer AF or Delta. Boss Emirates and Etihad may be good but not VALUE FOR MONEY. There is no delight left these days for shopping in AD/D.
So i will still not agree to selling my country to these sheikhs. 24

Can't say about trading call but I feel it will reach about 140 we had predicted last year when it went down to about 45. Smile

Long term target can be higher.
