the VIX in calls is rising and keeping high while in puts it is dropping.
6600pe has crossed 70 lakh OI and 6600ce dropped to under 52 lakhs. |

sold my calls and bought puts assuming that 6641NF won't be crossed. Worst case SL is 6650NS |

still OI of MARCH futures at 1.68 crs.. what can we make out from this...
are all these shorts waiting to cover ?
isnt it un-usually high with expiry in 2 hrs?
if nifty doesnt come down, i guess it will push nifty to beyond 6700 too...
also 6650 PE OI is up 200%.... |

one question, a little of the topic...
what happens to those who do not cover their shorts or cut their longs either futures or options at the end of expiry? |

If they are out of the money nothing happens. In that case I think you might save on brokerage etc...if you dont't squre off.
If they are in the money; Exchanage will settle them at the end of the day as per settlement figure but for that they will charge Extra. (Think it as fine) |

Not as an extra or as a fine, but delivery STT is charged at rate 8 times higher than what your broker charges you. I fought with SEBI/ NSE about this, and they sent me the Fin Min notification. NSE has no say in the rate charged Prakash Holla |
