I had posted weekly and daily charts of VIX last month - 6th april, which showed positive divergence in RSI and MACD. That VIX was near 13-14.
But because VIX is not traded, its a measure of the traded Index Options... I dont think it's rise can be ascertained as an effective result due the positive divergence.
As a possibility, it's already headed from the levels of 13-14 to going up to recent 18.40+ to 20-21 ..... based on the divergences.
It has a weekly breakout by closing above 16.
How are you getting 22-23, any supportive charts? |

I just 'eyeballed' the chart I saw, so my 22-23 might actually be a 21-22 if correct lines are drawn... |

| a +ww in vix gives 23.50 as of now. Also, a sort of Bowtie (20/50/200 sma converging) occured on 30/04 and implies that vix will move up (or down) sharply and violently with very big moves. |

for some reason, ur timing of posts or the knowledge at the indecisive time you pronounce.....i feel the same feel which fox mulder and dana scully gave during the episodes of X-Files. |

I didn't understand what you were trying to imply, apka.
By the way, such a bowtie occured in nifty in June'12 and rest is history. It was posted in icharts that time. BUT bowtie can also work reverse though I feel vix may go up this time, over time of course.
Bowtie guarantees big moves and is a very rarely discused formation. |
