The movements feel like transition for long term trend is going on.
The volatility happening up and down is due to long and short exits. They are brief and neither side has the upper hand for expiry as per FNO.
Puts have also seen shedding of OI, calls have also seen shedding OI, fut has shedded OI today and rollover has been done over to June series. VIX has also gone down from 19.xx to 17.xx
Even though 6100pe May has added 10 lakh shares today - total being 54 lakh but 6000pe has shedded OI of over 8 lakh - total being now at 71 lakh. So, it's still a mixed bag, no clear sign of trend resistence or support from FNO. And FNO is changing on day to day basis. |

NF OI decreased by 37 lakhs in May series and June increased by 47 lakhs. But surprisingly 6000 CE OI reduced inspite of the price increase today. All other CE OI increased and price also increased. How to infer? |

all in the money calls till 6100ce saw short covering rsnerella.
the OI reduction with price reduction suggests short covering, why are you surprised? It's how it should be, the writers closing their positions when movement is against their expectation in order to reduce or book loss.
All CE whose OI increased is out of the money that is 6200ce and above. That is just gamble buying at lower prices by some people. Whether or not we cross is a different issue.
The total OI is not standing strong on either of the strikes in May series to infer anything as per me. |

PCR up at 1.25 and VIX up at 17.12. If you are long, better to hedge, at least partially. |
