I am holding my shorts since I noticed a bearish div near eod. gets nullified only above 8415 on Monday. Otherwise I expect a 100 point drop.

Some interesting observation while reviewing the nifty prices. For the last 20 sessions:
*Nifty has fallen on only 3 out of 20 closings sessions
*Max Nifty drop in closing price has been around 25 points and
*Total run has been around 700 points since Oct 16 (from 7748>8430 levels)
*FII haven't net sold more than 100 Cr for the last 18 sessions

Never seen anything like this before, bank nifty maybe equally interesting. How long will this last? Is it in anticipation of Rate cut (and then fall after rate cut as it would be priced in)? Is it really the black money coming back to India?

dilpat, I am holding shorts and feel NF may react from about 8500NF with 20/21 being likely TCDs. However, less than 8300 is highly doubtful in Nov. hence I am thinking of shifting to 8200PE for dec around 8500NF.

high was 8464.90NF. A tight SL for shorts is 60tf close above 8465NF.

Hi Dilpat

I feel sorry for you.
You have turned a high profit trade into a loss one
Use your own brain
You cant trade by asking for direction at every step

You are unnecessary following a bearish mind, even at 8600 NF he will say, wait market is just going to fall. He is harping the same tune since last many sessions.

Sorry to barge in kaydee11, but vinay's success rate has been very good and he's never said which way the market is going to move; he only calls out the numbers as he sees them and its up to the reader/trader to make up his mind.

These kind of comments are unwarranted.

Nifty for Tuesday (18/11/14)

Supports are at about 8405, 8373/68 and 8321/16 while resistances are at about 8436, 8463, 8481/95 and 8528. A +WW can give about 8467 (+WWs with higher targets are not mentioned as of now). A -WW can give about 8326 (once below 8411) (-WWs with much lower targets are not mentioned as of now). A channel BO/BD can give 8520/8280.

Nifty rose after a gap down open to close above 84000 and at a new all time high. The -ve div on daily and weekly TF over longer period continues and will not go unless rsi crosses 75.08 on daily to begin with. A close below 8310 will invite bears. Global and local eco-political events can have a bearing on how nifty moves in short term.

Dilpat: The market is liquidity and optimism driven right now. All negative factors like likely recession in Europe are being ignored. Quite a few companies are reporting results not as good as previous quarters but that doesnt matter to bulls! Latest optimism is partly due to 3 year low in crude oil. Every positive point (however small) is being hyped. Market is in the grip of N-ia$%a-M. It is being inspired to greater values of NF but the after-effect will be terrible. When will that happen, God only knows ???
Also remember from past history, FIIs like to go for XMas holiday with profits, so they may manipulate NF upwards till, say, Dec 12-15, then sell out and fly home to impress the family with their bonuses!!!
In the meantime why dont you Google "AL BROOKS + 4 shared dot com" and download his trading book: Reading Price Charts Bar by Bar, 37 MB? His excellent remark inspires my trading nowadays: "Always have (at least) two good reasons to enter a trade"
