ritesh, nifty went up by 20 from 12.30 high and 7900pe went up 4. I feel 8200NS/8240NF may be max. I am long in 7900pe

Comparison of charts of Nov NF Vs. 7900PE, showing likely short covering/accumulation. Notice PE going up from low around 12.35 even though NF was flat or a bit higher after that and then sharper rise from 2.45 as compared to fall in NF. Look at the volume in last 5 min.

I am now convinced that bearish div is going to remain unless NS goes to 8160 but rsi doesn't go to 62.69. If rsi crosses that then NS must go to 8181. Otherwise fall seems certain.

Thank you for coming back to bearish prognosis after ur further analysis. FII s being added in nos won't change the same I guess.

Where is rsi now..... Unfortunately not on system for last few days

Vinayji,
If nifty spot is able to cross 8000 then what could be the tgts? and also if nifty by any chance is able to cross above its all time highs then how much more can it go? sorry for naive question...actually i have sold 8300 ce of december and am buying nifty futures in order to hedge that position. bought one part already above 7850 and now am planning to buy above 7970-8000 ad mentioned by u...thanks

Selling calls ....wow... I also intend to sell 7500 dec call not 8300.......just waiting a pivot break below 7840 or if is rises above 8030-8050.....8180-8300 may may be touched..... But don't think time left except for a vertical rise( slow rises to above 8200 ruled out for me)...... As usual ( market makers are smArt (er) enough and would not allow retail like me to profit big time on shorts.......)

As written on 21 St. When cmp was below 8000... Preferred buying puts as did today expected volatility rise and favouring over futures....... Also the up I've came in gaps as expected.......

Nifty for Friday (31/10/14)

Supports are at about 8141, 8109, 8092, 8076, 8048, 8034 and 7994 while resistances are at about 8206, 8242 and 8333. Unfilled gap on lower side is at about 8027. Two +WW can give about 8231 and 8257 (+WWs with higher targets are not mentioned as of now). Five -WWs can give about 8129, 8090 (once below 8126), 8041 (if below 8099), 7990 (once below 8114) and 7971 (once below 8076) (-WWs with much lower targets are not mentioned as of now). A rising wedge can give at least about 7900 in case of a BD below 8120.

Nifty rose sharply to make an all time high and also close at an all time high and is clearly bullish. Daily candle is a Marubuzo while monthly candle will be bullish engulfing. The bearish div posted earlier has vanished but now a -ve div has appeared and will not go unless rsi crosses 75.08. A close below 8027 can also cause further slide. Global and local eco-political events can have a bearing on how nifty moves in short term.

Reiterating my previous post from August series relating to monthly closes:

apka wrote:
I checked how when the trend of nifty sees a stop or reversal on monthly candlesticks over the past few years. It seems the closing the 1st time under the upper band shows a stop in the momentum.

Since march 2014, the monthly closings have above outside the upper bollinger band. This month's value is showing as 7785, but I think on friday it maybe near 7850. Unless we close under monthly upper band, trend is still intact.

As per yesterday's close the monthly upper band value is near 8290... let's see where it closes today.
