hello vinay

i have some banknifty short position

but today SGX numbers showing shaky for shorters like me

as u said stop for shorters NS 5480 to 5515

so with the gap opening today

what should be the strategy

should we go with the SL triggering

or wait for movement in USD price fluctuation

we hope today Dollar should be little up towards inr 68 level

pls give your views

regards

I had also said that correct SL was 5580, which is too far away, which means you should have covered your position yesteerday. Anyway, the SL of 5580 stands and you will have to hope that it is not taken out. I see two possibilities (a) correction from today's high <5580 or (b) further upmove to 5650 or more. keep fingers crossed. high vix means one should not panic.

Sept has been tough to judge with all negative news and expectations... but DII kept buying since last 10-15 days, didn't pay heed to it. Rolling Eyes

what do you guys think, this is a reversal or a short term injection of boost?

last 2 weeks we surived 5380 for cnh to remain intact. this week also assumingly will remain intact.

Apka: Vilayat mein ek kahavat hai: Proof of the pudding is in the eating. What am I implying?
There is continuous stream of DIVIDENDS from companies I and my sisters are holding, many are MAINTAINING the dividend LEVEL from last year.
Even supposedly badly hammered companies like BGR Energy gave same level ie Rs 7 per share (tho profit fell to 60% of last year).
Those lucky to hold on to good performers like ITC, HUL, Godrej CP, Infy, PGHH, Gillette, Castrol, etc DID VERY WELL getting fortunes tax free from these companies
Myself holding less meritorious companies than ITC etc have managed to gather Re 1 lac so far from my holdings
Companies in hammered sectors like auto ancillary : Banco India, Baroda gave decent dividend
So what am I saying? India story is not at all as bad as made out in stock market. Buy good scrips like Titan and reap the benefits later when manipulation causes a spurt in Nifty Future level just before elections!

True Prakash, but our GDP has dropped fast, halved in 2 years. It nowhere looks healthy because bottom is unknown. These companies may manage dividends early on. But these last 3 years we have seen more group A stocks going bust, rising NPAs.. this is something new.

and 9.5 Million fut volumes done in 90 mins. VIX from -3.5 to -1.5, USDINR from 65.70 -> 66.26 Shocked
