ok, looks promising. IMHO, effect of FOMC is over. 7990-95 is a "sell" area". What if it opens well above that?

Nifty for Thursday (18/09/14)

Supports are at about 7939, 7929, 7895 and 7864 while resistances are at about 7985/93, 8051/67 and 8102/16. Unfilled gaps on higher/lower side are at about 8106/8153 and 7904 resp. A +WW can give about 8062 (once above 7978) (+WWs with higher targets are not mentioned as of now). Three -WWs can give about 7910, 7880 and 7800 (-WWs with much lower targets are not mentioned as of now). An IHnS can give about 8275 if nifty remains above 7940. Two rising wedges can give much lower levels if nifty continues to go down.

Nifty closed flat after a gap up open and above 7950 but is not out of the woods unless there is a sharp reversal. A hidden div is developing on daily chart and we may indeed see a big rise if nifty doesn't fall further. Daily candle is like a hammer cum bullish Harami. Nifty will have to go above 8160 to give hope to bulls. Global events can have a bearing on how nifty moves. Liquidity continues to be strong. Intraday volatility can cause wild swings.

ritesh, if Scotland votes for separation, it will affect british pound a lot and perhaps euro and FIIs will be nervous today. But I am still sticking to my 8235/65 for expiry. first sign will be close above 8055/66 today and then 8133.

For those who are long

week (Friday) must close at least above 8030NS and preferably above 8111NS.

by another method, daily close above 8133NS is needed.

gentle reminder of yesterday's post.
