some may want to say "as of now". Amit, anyway, I will wait for one more day i.e. I won't apply that SL on daily close basis today, just to convince myself that I was indeed wrong. Even if it works out, I may still reverse to long if I see it sustain above about 8080NS/8100NF on Thursday.

but other sectors are not seeing selling pressure, so it's part of cyclical run.

yes, harsh, that always happens. I have also noted that FIIs bought huge index options yesterday and sold stock futures as hedge against long in index fut. RIL is worth watching to see whether it helps by playing spoil sport or acts as defensive.

Nifty for Wednesday (03/09/14)

Supports are closely spaced at about 8073, 8055, 8045, 8031, 8018, 8007, 7990 and 7928 while resistances are at about 8102, 8112, 8141 and 8250. Two unfilled gaps on lower side are at about 8028 and 7954. A +WW can give about 8153 (+WWs with higher targets are not mentioned as of now). Seven -WWs can give about 8060/48 (once below 8093), 8036/15 (once below 8088), 7929 (once below 8027), 7874 (once below 8087) and 7859 (once below 8042) (-WWs with much lower targets are not mentioned as of now). A bullish flag can give higher level unless killed below 7990. An IHnS can give about 8170-8275 in case nifty sustains above about 7900.

Nifty again closed at an all time high but just below 8100 and continues to be bullish. However, the -ve div on daily and weekly over longer period still persists and though RSI crossed above 70.60, its next hurdle is above 80. A breach of 8018 will be the first sign of tiredness. Even though liquidity continues to be strong, one needs to be careful in trading.

Nifty for Thursday (04/09/14)

Supports are at about 8091, 8032 and 7990 while resistances are at about 8159 and 8249. Two unfilled gaps on lower side are at about 8083 and 8027. A +WW can give about 8168 (+WWs with higher targets are not mentioned as of now). Five -WWs can give about 8054 (once below 8140), 8037 (once below 8133), 8030/8004 (once below 8120) and 7958 (once below 8058) (-WWs with much lower targets are not mentioned as of now). A bullish flag can give higher level unless killed below 7995. An IHnS can give about 8170-8275 in case nifty sustains above about 7910.

Nifty closed flat but at an all time high again and above 8100 and continues to be bullish. However, daily candle is like an evening doji star cum inverted hammer, a likely reversal sign. It will be confirmed if nifty closes (well) below 8083, preferably after a gap down open. Also, there is a -ve div on lower TFs and the -ve div on daily and weekly over longer period still persists and we may see a short reversal. If nifty breaks and sustains below 8091, it may be the first sign of weakness. However, liquidity continues to be strong and one needs to be careful in trading.
