If you look from 52 week perspective then high is 5740 and low is 4531 and mean of this level is 5135, so we are closer to the mean of 52 weeks too."

i didnt get it... VIX breakout from what? to remain at lower levels? what is the range, in that case, we should not expect VIX to rise for near term?

If someone is a bit bearish, there are a lot of opportunities out there in the market....lots and lots of stocks are near their resistances....that means not much risk as far as the stoplosses are concerned.... Smile

i think i last saw vix this low 2-3 years back... since i have been actively trading i only seen vix falling with market rise and vix rising with market fall.. i not seen this type of direct movement with each other.

The recent lows as far as VIX is concerned....

7th April 2010 - 12.6 (looks like a freak candle for that day)

7th Sept 2010 - 14.35

When I have mentioned that fact the banks were showing weakness, they were just under-performing.....but they recovered towards the close....by the way, i don't read too much by today's move....I was expecting some 40 or 50 points bounce back from around 5180 levels....

I have found it to be really good time to initiate another round of shorting....cos, the stops are pretty close for most of the stocks I have initiated shorts....I have a short position in ICICI bank too.... Laughing but my stoploss is above 960....so, planning to sell one more lot around 955 if it comes there tomorrow....I dont see too much bullish moves coming from Europe....if there are any, I'll think about closing my shorts....but I really doubt the european markets will go up from current levels....anyway, let's see.... Smile

Friends,

Anyone noticed Bharat posted the levels where he said nifty spot support exist at 5166 and look yesterday nifty spot made low of 5169.05 and today gap up opening. now it will be interesting to see one more of his levels 5246.45, where how nifty acts.

anyway though he is not disclosing his method but whenever he post his updated levels they works exactly.

hey bharat pls post latest levels if u read this thread.

bharat, your levels/posts are getting lost in too many posts in nifty view. That's why I had suggested last time that you open a new thread by another title, say, "nifty view by Bharat Patel".
