vinay28 wrote: | apka, when you test on a one year chart, I presume you see ema not for the whole year but from a previous date to any given date. What I mean is, if you are checking from, say, 1st july '11 then you are checking by putting different end dates, say, every month or 3months.
By the way, if this strategy is correct then it should give entries very early |
ya vinay, chart infront of me is 1 year, but the emas are convering moving coming from previous dates. |

ya thats what i was looking at.
12th july's closing below it has turned out to be a false one, because in the previous times when nifty has closed below 13ema then it does not go back up to close above 13ema like it has done today.
this same thing happened in march and april continually. indicating shorts and long entry positions could be made, although eventually market did fell but after 2 months.
So, i think we can ignore 12th july's signal to short. I think |
Apka, I didn't mention it in my first post regarding the rules.....As per Mr Wagle, even if the market breaks above the EMA13, no need to worry....as per him ultimately the market will go down.....But I just wonder how one will trade without a stoploss in that scenario....may be one'll have test it many times to have any confidence....but if you dont have a stoploss, then it will be difficult to control the emotions... |

i doubt anyone of us follow any TV's advisors's tips... but this is different, have a look se. You may not be able to trade following the system exactly. cuz it will become like an invesment in equity and wait for sometime to exit. But it seems good to know what future trend holds. |

I stopped listening to those experts a few years back....I do things only according to my studies....i must tell you that I'm more than happy with that.....Taxmann......I have no opinion about Mr Wagle as I dont follow him...by the way, as per Vinay...there were lot of calls of which the stops were triggered....anyway, I'm just checking only the method...if this method can help me making a decision better, then its great.... |

sam, everytime it leads to the rsi going in oversold or overbought region. after it enters the same and as soon as you see a positive divergence incase of oversold rsi or negative divergence incase of overbought rsi, I think that can be considered as a point that the reversal of long to short and short to long is coming sometime. |

that means with the help of some filters or indicators such as RSI, one might be able to fine tune this method, rit?....hmn...good.. |

I consider divergences to be good indicators, hence the suggestion
BTW, Banknifty has not closed below 13EMA as yet. I think when both nifty and bank nifty close below 13EMA then we should take it seriously. |
