is the inflation data out ???
is it so positive, that nf rose 30 pts all of a sudden in 5 mins ???
why nf volume rose 10 times in just 5 mins ??? |

With each passing day...the strength and sentiments of BEARs (including me) are getting weakened. yesterday's closing was another blow....but we're in for a Make or Break few days....if the market doesn't fall from here for a day or two, I'll have to close ALL my shorts....cos, its like waste of time and money....  ....but again, I'm still hopeful that the market will TANK....  |
My feeling is exactly the same. My analysis has been blown to smithereens in this rally. Thanks to a hedge that I took, I can atleast get away with a small loss else I would have lost all my money in puts.
But I am surprised to see this rally continuing with so low volume support. Yesterday's volume was one of the lowest daily volumes in NF history (12th from low to be precise - since 2007). In fact this rally has 5 low volume days from 20 lowest volume days in NF history (and those 20 do include truncated trading days like muhurat trading). Something to think about....I would be very surprised if we get a sustainable up move from here without a significant breather if not a decent pullback.

Inflation data is better than expected....I mean less than the estimates.....at 6.87% vs 7.25% in June....estimate was 7.2%......  |

Its the case, ST...going up without any volume at all.....Just see what happened today morning...in S&P Mini Futures and the volume....Suddenly somebody came and bought some 7000 contract...there it is.... S&P futures is up by half a percent..... ......is it fundamental?....is it technical??.....I have no idea....could be another Algo glitch....dont see any other reason....  |

....Bears are almost like a lost souls now.....but please watch out.....many stocks have just hit their resistances....there could be another test of those levels.....for example, SBI, i was mentioning a resistance of 1930 levels....today the high made as of now is around 1929.....if the market goes up again, there is good chance that these levels will be crushed beyond any doubts....but till that time, be a bit cautious BULLs... |

Almost 80% of the stocks are not really moving as per the current strength.....most of the stocks which are movign are biggies.....just enough to move up the index....  |

For a tight stoploss, you can place it above yesterday's high, I feel....However, to avoid some whipsaws, 5387 looks fine.....

5387 was the stoploss I have suggested for Taxmann on last thursday....and the high made is exactly 5387...  |

Yes, Chetan....it looks very much like a Cup and Handle....but watchout for a convincing breakout of that pattern.....I really doubt if today's move can be considered as a breakout....By the way, consider another scenario....suppose the market goes down from here....wont it be like a double or tripple top???..... ...so anything is possible....let's wait and watch.... |

wat abt Nifty....today more volume since 25th June.....will there be upside on monday??? |
Yea...PFC didn't sustain above 192 levels....by the way, cant rule out some buying on Monday.....I have a gut feeling that by tuesday or Wednesday, we'll have a clear idea about where we're heading.....I mean I'm expecting some directional move from next week onwards...... |

Too early to comment.....but here what I have seen in weekly chart.....in Daily Chart of Nifty upper TL already broken and closed abv today (so risk shorter may keep SL of todays high)...on other side who are BULL....can cheer up by seeing the past behavior how Nifty broke abv the Upper TL and STS trading in overbought zone....so who knows.....5600+ levels on the way soon..

I have accumulated 5300 put @ average rate of 45 & bit confused what to do because in past whenever I squared off my position market rversed from there  :Can anybody advise  |
