My gut feeling says that it will be around 5270......But higher levels look very much possible....anyway, let's see...
NOTE: BankNifty and CG stocks look crucial to me on the upside from here....Metals could participate as well....I'm looking at 10033 on BankNifty....10033-10000 range appears crucial to me...if broken, I expect another 200-300 point cut...today's low is around 10050........anyway, let's see |

hi
just not much in words these days so being quiet
5300pe OI stands at 1.2 cr about, same was seen with 5500ce few days back and we fell midway from 5448 spot. Now 5331 has come so perhaps time to rise up. 5300 should not break until 2.30pm expiry day, and if it does not below 5270.
My expectation is 5380 for expiry. |

I have bought a few 5400 CALLs of the current series, just for some protection until expiry..... ..current rate is around 8.5....option writers are happy selling it around 8.5.... means LESS CHANCE (not certain) of expiring above 5400 levels.....anyway, let's see... |

5312 is where I'm looking at...as I have mentioned in the morning, the market is in a support range of 5332-5312 now.......a break below this range COULD push the market to 5275 levels....but as per me, its in a support range now.... |

I have mentioned only that 5312-5332 is a support range.....I didn't say that the market will definitely go up.....that's why I suggested whenever the market comes up....try to book profit....Also, I have mentioned about 5400 CALLs being sold at pretty cheap levels.....but it doesn't mean that market wont break above those levels.....My bearishness for the overall market is still there and almost all the position I have are on the sell side...but I'm just giving intraday supports and resistances....I have stressed about the supports today as it is a significant one...even in the long run. |

Thanks.
Don't be angry.
I am new to options and trying to understand its working.
In other words, Writing a call means selling a call.
Then what is the difference between buying a put and selling a call.
Thanks |

Saumya, When option sellers (they're also called option writers) sells a CALLs without any fear, it indicates that they're not expecting much upside. For example, at this point of time 5300 CALL is trading around 45 rupees. So, for somebody who sells a CALL at 45, he is at risk when the market breaks above 5345......So when the option writers sells CALLs without any fear, it could either be because of confidence or over confidence...... ....It is also possible that they're selling it as part of some strategy, by which they may not be hurt badly even if the market goes up.....There are hell lot of strategies in the option trading.....so, its very difficult to predict what exactly is gonna happen.....but when lot of CALLs are written compared to PUTs, it is safe to assume that the overall mood is bearish......It doesn't necessarily be true....So, let's wait and see where the market expires in a few days.... |
