you are right sam that nifty must conclusively close above 200dma of about 5220/30 but be careful. I still feel next 7 working days are crucial as not too many suckers have ben trapped.

First signal for a breakout will be when sensex closes above its 200-day SMA...which is around 17350 now. After that, the real confirmation will be when the market breaks out of the upper end of the downward slopping channel. That level is around 5260, I guess. Till that time, its a NO-NO as far as positional LONGs are concerned.

Regards,

Sam

PUT/CALL ratio is on a higher side, I guess....but still cant say anything as of now....By the numbers you have provided, its obvious that the FIIs had covered some puts on friday but sold a few again, on monday.....Let's wait and watch how it goes today... Rolling Eyes

one thing we'll have to remember today is that the Reliance buyback will begin today...so, there will be some buying in reliance later today, i guess.....which might help the market by another 10 or 20 points....

I posted three files in "market wrap-up for the day" thread under "market direction". But for some reason, I can't see the thread in home page. You will have to go to forum, market direction to get that.

Admin - why is this happening?

You have not posted in "Market Direction" forum, you have posted in somebody else's topic under market direction. The correct way is to "create new topic" in "Market Direction" forum and post your files there.

NS not breaking 5171. 12 to 13.30 pm crucial. If it doesn't break, it means it is only a consolidation in an uptrend and we may see about 5300
