Samji your views on cement sector plz

Taxmann, the sector as a whole is not giving any clear signals...but the patterns are looking encouraging. So, as of now, I'll suggest to buy the stocks on dips or after any breakout. For example, ACC is forming some kinda inverted H&S. A good breakout will give a very good move on the upside, I feel. But I wont suggest buying the stock at this point of time, as the risk is pretty high. But on a dips or after a breakout, the stocks can be bought, I feel.

NOTE: For every trading position there should be a stoploss (big or small) cos, you never know what's gonna happen in the future. But as of now, the sector looks promising.

Regards,

SAM

from fundamental point of view, just look for despatches, which are going up for the last year, which means that there is construction going on in second tier cities and towns.

Now that the delay and hangup causing Didi-er virus has been removed, perhaps his instructor will refresh and defrag his memory and increase processor speed to 420G Hertz. He will again show the tiger spirit he displayed in 1991! Prakash Holla

Looking at the way some of the cement firms are holding, I have a feeling that they're about to breakout. BUT, one shouldn't have to be aggressive here..as more than 10 or 15% gain is there to be taken. For example, ACC COULD give around 300 point upmove as per the patterns. That means even if one misses 10 or 20 points, it wont be a big miss. In my opinion, wait for a day or two....if you feel that the price action suggests a breakout, then you can start buying the stock. If there is a breakout ACC is expected to give around 300 rupees on the upside in 3 to 6 months.....ie, more than 20% return from current levels....

Look at the way Indian markets are outperforming. FII funds must be flooding in.

I had recommended Ambuja for long term investments earlier as well, Vinay.....Ambuja had a breakout recently.....but as far as the potential is concerned, ACC looks better......Both Ambuja and Ultratech could give another 10% from here if there is further buying happening.....ACC could give more than that I feel... Smile
