steve, first of all you should never buy OTM more than 250 away from CMP e.g. at this stage it should be max 5500pe and 5900ce. yes their value surely drops. that's why unless you r sure about sharp movement, you should not buy. |

apka/steve - just in case you get mislead by my earlier response, note that while Jagdish has given what he thinks will be the EXP level during this expiry (not necessarily on expiry day), it is provided Risk level is broken. |

hehe... why worry so much. For the moment nifty spot and fut both have made new highs and new closing values. Trend is intact. A close below 5660 will change things.
on another thought it is worrying |

saumya, why should it increase your worry? I have actually clarified with a caveat. |

Let me clarify, the point of concern.
When you say
Rahulsharmaat wrote: | Vinay
what does this hawala indicate
Exp 5353-- means nifty projected to be expired around 5353--
is it so ??? |
vinay28 wrote: | yes rahul, 5373NF as per him |
It means that the oct series will/may expire at 5373. That means one can safely square off ones holdings by say by 19th or any time before that.
And when you add your caveat and say
vinay28 wrote: | apka/steve - just in case you get mislead by my earlier response, note that while Jagdish has given what he thinks will be the EXP level during this expiry (not necessarily on expiry day), it is provided Risk level is broken. |
Your caveat means that it can be any day of oct series, may be next Monday (GOD forbid) . Thats the point of concern
Thats the difference of the two versions.
I hope that I made my point of view clear. |

I get your point saumya but that's why I clarified to apka/steve when I realised that my earlier post could mislead.
Incidentally, though I don't remember who raised the issue of astrology a couple of months ago, jupiter goes retrograde from tmrw. |

Let us wait and watch about expiry of oct series.
Yes, I know that, Jupiter in Taurus, retrogrades tomorrow evening, to be precise at 18.48 Hrs. Thats why there is a hue and cry about downward movement of market to 5550.
Hi Apka, Jupiter is not going anywhere, he is only changing his type of motion, from direct to retrograde. Retrogression is an astrological term. Except The Sun and The Moon that have only direct motion, all other 5 planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn have 2 types of motion, direct and retrograde. Retrograde motion is backward movement in simple terms. The remaining two, Rahu and Ketu moves in retrograde motion only.
Thats all on retrogression otherwise some one will think that it is thread for astrology. |

Sorry, I do not know much about astrological effect on market, but I believe that it has an effect on market movement. |
