Sam, Vinay: Only Wednesday is NSE holiday
Friday is NOT NSE holiday.
Please check on NSE website for yourselves.
Even Karnataka Govt officially "gave in" to requests from community and declared Saturday as Id and not Friday
I think NSE knew in advance about Saturday

Vinay: Bohri community decides in advance about holiday and sticks to it. We can all learn from them about time management. Prakash Holla |

ok..quick question everyone ..october series 5800 puts is trading at 100.4 now..when the nifty spot is 5693.. how can this happen ? neglecting the time value in the option..the option should have atleast the intrinsic value of 5800-5693=107..right ???? |

Steven,
Either the option writers are pretty confident that the market may not expire below 5700 or they are selling it as part some option strategy. The demand could be pretty low as well considering that we dont have any trading tomorrow. That could be another reason. By the way, will you prefer to risk 100 rupees by buying 5800 PUTs?? If you're opting for a PUT, you'll go for 5700 PUTs right?....most of the people wont go and buy 5800 PUTs risking 100 bucks. But it is true that option writers are not really concerned by the low premiums. Anyway, as widely expected, expiry should be around 5700 or just above that level. Anyway, let's wait and see.... |

for the last few days CEs have more premium then PEs which shows bulls are still in control. By the way, I feel expiry could be about 5675 |

they'll go in further discount on expiry day, by upto 5-10 points. because if u carry an In the Money call or put and let it expire, STT charges leived are very high which easily take away your 5-10 points or so. So, no buying is seen. |
