Online Trading Academy, apparently the 'largest' trading school in the world, has set shop in Mumbai.
They have been advertising & marketing their presence Heavily!
Like me, im sure quite a few must have gone for their 'FREE' seminar
Boy its one well thought out, hardcore, super pressurising sales pitch!
Did you take the course? how was the experience?
If you dint take the course.. what was ur opinion about their 'free' seminar?
Cheers.

very close but not enough to get banned. A link would have completed the necessary criteria to get banned _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

@ apatel, kamal, iv been for their free seminar.
a well spoken person will give u gyaan and crack one line jokes related to the market. but nothing that you havnt heard of or read in one of the trading related books.
he starts off with his story of how he was facinated by trading but kept loosing then took the OTA course and how he has never looked back ever since. but, absolutely no concrete knowledge related to trading is given out. so if you wana hear a story of a funny mans ups-and-downs related stories with the market, go for it.
WARNING: however, here is the catch, while they advertise it as a free seminar, in the middle of the presentation, the call out people one at a time and thats where their real game begins.
An education councellor, or whatever it is they choose to call their sales representative joker, will invite you in his cabin, and after some small talk will come to the point. He begins a disgustingly obivous attempt at convincing you to join up for the course. Convenietly he will tell you that its actually for 2 lac, but just for now they are offering it at 1 lac. And then you sucker you into signing up right then and there, he will even give some cheeky offer like a 'free risk management cd' only if you sing up today, if you come tomorrow, you will not be eligible for it. pure Bullshit.
Any questions of resistance from your end will be cheekily deviated by him and he comes back to his only agenda of you shelling out your money. if you dont have cash, he acceps cheque, if u dont have that, he is more that willing to even swipe your credit card. That guy will literally try to force the education they have to offer down your thorat.
Instead of giving the prospective clients time to go home, think about the seminar and decide if what they have to offer you is worthwhile or not, their method of cheekily calling out one person at a time for a one on one with someone very well trained in hard selling, was very disappointing.
their all out sales attempt to get me to pay 1lac for their course with a now or never type of attitude, has left a very sour taste in my mouth.
generally iv noticed, in life, those who are hard selling are more often trying to con you to pay more than what its actually worth. while, those who are selling something genuine and solid, they dont have a pushy approach because deep down they know, that what they have to offer is value, and you will come back to them.
A Ferrari doenst need to advertise. think abt it!
so my two cents, if you do go for their free seminar, please, please dont end up siging up that very day. No matter what new freebie they offer only if u sign up today, resist it. go back home, take some time to think it over, and then decide wether you want it or not.
Cheers.
@ ST, if we are allowed to discuss books, trading methods, techniques, etc.. what is so objectionable about having a thread to discuss how good/bad someone who is offering trading education that you would even consider it to be on borderline for banning?
@ ravi, zabaan sambhal ke.
