I had followed most of ichartian... and their strategy...today i`m posting Nifty option Open interest excel file which will calculated the Open interest available for nifty and update the same with interpretation of trend.


Kindly note attached file is for study purpose.

Note :
1) Macro must be enabled for downloading the data.
2) Stoploss and target can be decided as per your Risk and reward taking capacity.

Note:6100 ce adds 12,94,700 and 6200 ce adds 11,34,650 in oi..call writers are back in short bears are back after diwali break and they are in full on mode..5800 pe has also added 11,34,700 in oi..punters are taking a risk on the short side i feel as these are not put writers but genuine buyers...there is some news doing the rounds on television channels about some FATCA(Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act ).I also heard some closed door meeting of FM with FIIS about FATCA..watchout for it friends..i remember last time a meeting with FIIS made the rupee bounce from above 67-68 levels to 61 or so and along with it the markets bounced from 5200-5300 nifty levels to 6300 and above towards a new high...lets see whether tomorrow's meeting with FIIS leads to what levels or can we say in hindi that bulls can get more FATKA(beating in hindi) in the coming days

Soonil123:thanks for your nifty chart,it is very nice but please don't put any other chart or excel file of open interest of stock options..since the name of my thread is "open interest in nifty options" please keep it limited to nifty options only..if you want stock options u can always start a fresh thread...your excel files are very good even i would like to visit your thread regularly but in this thread of mine please limit your excel files to nifty options only,thanks.

Note:6100 ce has added 13,07,850 and now slowly signs of 6000 ce getting written have also started showing with 6000 ce adding 5,66,450 even though the figure is not big but with 6000 pe cuttting -3,79,400 in oi a small figure also adds significance..some days back i had mentioned that the experts were pointing to 6080 and then 6032 as support..now both of them are gone..today's closing brings us to another support zone of 5950-6000..the upside of this zone that is 6000 is already broken lets see for tomorrow whether 5950 also gets taken out...but markets have surely lost upward momentum i feel..reason being in a very short span of time the calls have lost most of the premium..that is the case everyday..calls losing premium and market closing at the lowest point of the day or closing near the lowest point of the day..for the sake of bulls(i have been writing bearish view from before diwali) this one time let us see some green at close tomorrow.

Note:6000 ce has shed -2,32,400,6100ce has shed -5,04,100 and 6200 ce has shed -4,86,650 in oi these calls were written heavily over the past one week or so and 6000pe has added 7,34,700 and 6100 pe 9,34,800 has also added in oi,there is a start of reversal of trend or we can say going by the options data that the markets are pausing from there current downtrend which was going on since diwali..tomorrow being holiday we have to wait for today's closing and options EOD figures but a of now the trend seems to be on the upper side lets wait and watch,very much green on the screen today

Note:It seems inflation data has started to play spoilsport and market has got confused whether to go up further,remain as it is or go down again...lets wait for the close of today and the options data after 3.30 pm...in the meanwhile bulls and bears both best luck

Note: Today at 11.21 am i had posted about the markets changing the trend but when inflation data came in at 12.00 the whole scenario changed and the market got confused as to which direction to take it was going upwards till the inflation data was released but after the inflation data came the market started coming down and closed neither here nor there ... now the EOD figures are nothing to mention much with addition and cut in oi of 1 to 2 lakhs in some calls and puts...it is as if the market is waiting for this long weekend due to holiday on friday to get over before taking any decision..so all of you have a nice weekend and lets see on monday what the options data has in stored for us..enjoy your weekend
