HI ALL
nf closed at 5291.4, daily volatility is at 1.58%
so 5291.4x1.58/100=83.6
nf o/s price=5291.4-83.6=5207.8
nf o/b price=5291.4+83.6=5375

Neither buy nor sell order got triggered today.
for tomorrow(1/11/11)
nifty close-5347.10
daily volatility-1.61%
range-86.10
therefore,
sell @ 5433.20 (5430-5435) stoploss @ 5484.
buy @ 5261.00 (5260-5265) stoploss @ 5211.
regards.
ANS.

Friends, please notice that according to overbought oversold strategy, the buy area was 5260-5265, more specifically, 5261, and as a matter of fact NF made a low of exactly 5261 and starts moving against the intraday trend, I was not there in the terminal, but I think it made a clear move to near 5300. ( IN FACT IT WILL BE SO NICE IF SOMEBODY TURN UP AND STATE WHAT WAS THE EXACT HIGH THAT WAS ACHIEVED AFTER HITTING THE BUY TRIGGER).so, good profit making opportunity in the 1st day of November.

If you think it as a co incidence kindly wait and watch for a few days you will find this things are happening so frequently.

Now, trade for tomorrow,(2/11/2011
Nf CLOSING- 5291.40
Daily volatility-1.58%
Range-83.60
sell@ 5375 ( 5370-5375) stoploss- 5425
buy@ 5207.8( 5205-5210) stoploss- 5157.

Thanks and regards.
ANS.

ANS_KOL, so much has been written in recent days that I think I have missed something.

The buy price today was deadly accurate. But what happens if one bought today e.g. target. Also, should one have carried it forward since buy came late in the day and, at the same time, trade tomorrow too if your price comes? What about SL then? What if trade tomorrow is opposite?

Dear Vinay28 Sir,
As mentioned in the first comment The trade is for intra day only (preferably 30 mins) and the target is app 25-30 points I think it was achived or very near to it(I am not very sure)

Oh thanks Doc. I did miss that. That means no trade if desired price comes near market close. I do wonder, though, why target is only about 25-30 points if such trades don't come every day.

Ans_kol, a couple of doubts have bothered me about this startegy. How many days in a month have you noticed that both buy and sell prices are triggered? If only one of them is triggered, do you carry forward your position? What about new position on next day? Or is it only an intraday strategy and I have misunderstood?

Also, you have suggested a flat 50 point SL. May be that's why you also suggest not to keep SL. In case the strategy is not for intraday, do you apply same SL next day? What if we keep a SL based on some other strategy e.g avinash's strategy, which is for intraday?

One thing I forgot to mention in my reply to holla about options. The option price for SL also has to be regularly calculated and place SL with 1 or 2 rs. lesser than calculated value. Unless one decides to watch nf and then square off position once nf closes below SL.

DEAR VINAY,
whenever I used it , it is for intraday only, just to avoid the risk of big gap up/gap down against the direction of my position. but as I said earlier I have noticed most of the time if no stoploss is kept it gives excellent result next few days. but as a matter of fact I can not say publicly not to keep a stoploss. that is why I was asking other members in this forum to add some inputs to this strategy to make it better.
I noticed it to hit either buy or sell signal for around 15 session a month, but both together? I am not sure.
ANS.

Dear Vinay,
as I mentioned earlier that profit booking is the toughest part of this strategy. In a sense you are right when you say that why the target is 25-30 points only if the trade is not triggered everyday. But if you get just 10 trades correct in a month then also you can make atleast 200 points in nifty future per month, which accumulates to 2400 points a year, which has an extraordinary impact on your investment.(almost 200%anual return on your investment., if Iam not mistaken).
May be I am going too far, we just started testing this strategy in public, better not to jump to long term conclusion.
so ,Vinay, as I requested earlier also, I am also trying within my hectic schedule to modify this strategy, you, being a bright member of this forum kindly come up and try to modify this for the betterment of other trader friends.
The same request goes to my dear friend RK and other friends in the forum.
Thanks and regards.
ANS.

ANS

From the moment I read your post.I put my brain to work on it.But you almost made all possible theoritical inputs.Nothing left including TSL's and trading without SL as per risk apetite etc.

The only thing left is working on it real time and I hope after some time boarders may come up with some contributions including my self.

Right now I see it as an astonishing yet simple strategy Smile

Thanks ANS. More or less covers all. However, since you DID mention that position CAN be carried forward, it may give much higher profits since SL is already known (? - or as per my comments). One can then apply TSL. I guess gap-up or down are rare enough to tolerate. I am not yet into regular trading and, as yet, undecided which strategy to follow. I hope someone trying it over a month and gives results. Would be very interesting.
