sir, its a nice thing to have a candle stick scanner in our eod screener,with ur permissions, can i request for something more? can we have an option to scan for chart patterns such as double tops, cup, various triangles, flags etc?

Good Idea. I second it. However, the pattern scanner would be difficult to make as a software as it is highly subjective and more than one pattern may fit a situation. I think a human intervention becomes necessary.

pls help me to use candlestick scanner with one example

hi jamdagni, just open eod screener, click advanced search option, u will see two sets of search criteria there, first five crietria which consist the 1st set have only drop down menu, so u can not write here, so these will not help to search for candles,
then there are another set below the 1st set, this 2nd set allows to write instead of select. i use it for candle search, the process i follow is
1.select candle from the drop down menu of of the extreme left,
2.2nd drop down menu option is contains, let it remain the same, dont change it
3.then there is a blank place, here write what pattern u want to search, such as- morning star, and then click the search button
