Hi guys,
Those who have not positioned themselves till now, my advise is to go long. And hold tight your positions.
My positional trades are as follows:
Long NF Aug Expiry @ 5087
Sbin(cash) @ 2058
Bhel(cash) @ 248[/quote] |

gnbalaji, my idea of trading is to identify a trend and run with it. I personally don't believe in stoplosses. I know i am making a very controversial statement. But still, i don't believe in stop losses. It doesn't mean i don't take losses. But with stoplosses, u get whipsawed a lot of times. I bought SBI @ 2058, it went to 1800, but i didn't sell it. Because my trading system told me it would bounce back.
As a short term trader, I haven't had a very good track record. But my positional trades have made me quite good money. So i stick to my trading system.
You can check this thread periodically to paper trade first and then maybe initiate a real trade

gnbalaji, as I said earlier, I can identify a trend whether it is an uptrend or downtrend but cannot predict where it will land us. So just keep tuned in, i will post when the tide turns |

Vineet,
What I understood from your statement is----you don't have prefixed stop loss (you don't believe in it too) but you will exit from the position once your system signals so.
You have a built in stop loss in whatever system you follow which will pop up in due course.
Well….. That’s quite fine and you should say "I don't believe in prefixed SL" and you cannot say “I don't believe in Stop losses” because you will exit from the position once your system signals you to get out. In other terms that signal (whatever might be the price) is SL for you, which you may not know in advance.
Such statements may influence some new traders who see there positions going in to profit after triggering stop losses and they may start believing that SL is the culprit .Which can potentially lead them to disaster.
"LOVE YOUR STOP LOSSES THEY ARE THE SAVIORS OF YOU FROM THE PREDATORS IN THIS MARKET JUNGLE"
By the way, your Nifty call is in profit and SBI in loss right now BHEL in marginal loss. Any update regrding the signals generated by your system. |
