Many thanks rrk2006hyd. However, I wonder whether it will help us every day. For example, nifty future closed at 5485, way above "p" (5390.79) on friday (24th June) and will only have to be above "p" on monday (27th June) to trigger a buy as per your strategy. But that 's way too low below friday's closing and may give a false signal?

You valued comments will help. May be in such cases, Avinash's intraday strategy based on NF values as of 9.30 am will suit better?

thanks for replys,

1.for Inrtaday..use 5,10,15 mnts time frames and take opne,high and low..
calculate p=(open+high+low)/3..
if LTP>p then buy..

2.for swing take CLOSE prices ..

thq..
i have doubt about these tf what exactly you mean by that please clear my doubt

in intraday chart..choose 5mnts or 10mnts or 15 mnts..time..note down open/high/low..i.e at 9.20 or 9.25 or 9.30 take open , high ,low values and calculate p=(open+high+low)/3, if LTP>P buy and use 'P' as SL or below P..as SL..if LTP<P,shortsell.

Note:before trading please do paper trading how it works..thq.

Bhartiartl on 28.6.2011 Open 396.80 High 404.95 close 400.30 LTP 400.35. P= 400.68 Since the closing price and LTP are below P the trend is down for 29.06.2011. Please monitor this and post your comments. After finding the trend, where shd we enter for Long or Short and what will be stop loss. If the entry, stop, and targets are fixed we can test this strategy.

p=(open+high+low)/3
p=(396.80+404.95+396.25)/3
p=399.33

so close on 28th is 400.30, therefore close>p, iso..we can buy with "P" as stop loss or below "P" for next trading day..or hold for some days.

targets:
using fibonacci
R2 = P + ((High - Low) x .618)
=399.33+((404.95-396.25)*0.618=404.7066

R1 = P + ((High - Low) x .382)=402.6534

S1 = P - ((High - Low) x .382)=396.01

S2 = P - ((High - Low) x .618)=393.95
