Hello
This is simple strategy by Alchemist.
1. Nifty SPOT chart, put 5 EMA and 200 EMA on 30 minutes charts
2. bullish crossover of EMA means buy nifty future ... bearish crossover means SELL
3. Trade management : every trade is 2 lots ... book 50% when you get 50 points profit once the trade is entered ..second lot keep running until signal reverses ! simple enough
4. Just enter trade when 30 minutes candle closes and cross is confirmed (Nifty Spot chart).

Vinay Sirji,
My startegy is little different but even I refer to spot price to trade in FUT. My question is how you use FUT charts in last 2 days of series? If next month premium is lets say 50 points on last day of current month and current month premium is less than 10 then ofcourse on first day of the expiry is going to be gap up even if their is no such gap in Spot. How do you handle such gaps?

thanks BNB. pl don't use titles like sirji for me. Valid point. What I actually do is also follow NS chart for reference. In any case I don't trade in fut but only options but mine was just a qquery. Hence I normally concentrate more on option chart. Any such strategy, I load on option charts as well for comparison because it tells me if my option is being written or bought vis-à-vis NS/NF movement. |

Dear Member,
You can plot 200 EMA. Just ensure you load sufficient data so that you can get the proper crossover.
In case you need any assistance, please contact our support team and they will help you in this regard.

1. whats the SL once you enter in trade.. and is the SL is TSL.....
2. Is it backtested.... whats the result...
Thanks

1. The SL is opposite crossover.
2. Not backtested, please backtest and post results. If the results show that it is a profitable strategy, follow it as per the rules defined.
If the backtest shows it's a loss making strategy, follow exactly opposite of the rules defined to turn loss making trades into profit making. I mean on bullish crossover you sell instead of buy, and on bearish crossover you buy instead of sell.
Make money either ways ...
Cheers

2nd lot continues to earn profits (8741-8468) 273 pts trade running
Few thoughts on comments posted
Loaded 200 day data to get proper values of 200 EMA.
Really liked nifty spot (NS) chart to overcome expiry price difference challenges. |

Asking something basic - when to take profit?
If the ema crosses up I enter and ema crosses down I exit, then how do I make any profit ??? This is the reason people get frustrated over half baked ideas floating around.

2nd lot continues to earn profits (8835-8468) 367 pts trade running
For now profit booking strategy is 1st lot at 50 pts and second lot at 5 ema cross down 200 ema.
Further modification after one month as promissed by Alchemist. |

This 50 point profit taking sounds a little crude for me. My suggested modification: Use 5,21,200. Buy when 5 crosses 200 ema from below. Sell when price closes (not just cuts) below 21 EMA from above. Re-enter again when 5 cuts 21 EMA from below provided both are still above 200 EMA.
Vice-versa for selling.
This works best with trending markets so note the DMI before entering trade. If it is less than 25 avoid trading.
