We got a good trend in July so whipsaws are expected. If you continue to trade every signal religiously you are BOUND to make money at year end.
Anyways ... sell triggered yesterday at around 8615 NF now 750 qty
Loss on last buy of 67 points x 600 = Rs 40200

Extreme price congestion on nifty and 5 back to back whipsaws.
Sell whipsawed and buy triggered on last week at 8685 (70 point loss x 750 qty = Rs 52500 loss)
Then buy triggered at 8685 whipsawed today and gave a sell at 8640 (45 x 750 = 33750 loss.
Now short taken at 8640 and carried.
Since 2012, the longest loss streak has been 6 loss trades however in 95% cases after 5 consecutive loss trades, Nifty trends well. Lets see if Nifty trends on this signal or if even this signal whipsaws.

Congestion continues which is very odd
signal reversed to buy at around 8640 (no profit no loss). Bought Sep series now at 8690 and carried (750 qty)
Amitagg - what's the issue with 750 qty in last two trades?

| I thought we were scaling in from 750 to 900 OR after 750 we were hitting 150 again...... That's all . Shall try to go and read rules again interspersed in some page. |

Dear Alchemist,
Did you checked these whip saw cross overs with ADX indicator anytime back? Looks it is helpful in managing whipsaw cross overs. Basically it indicates strength of the trend.... |

Chopiness continues. Exited leftover 450QTY short at 8682 (8 point loss)
(32 x 300) - (8 x 450) = Rs 6000 profit
NOw reversed to sell at 8682 (750 qty) ..again booked 300 qty at 8652 (30 points)
Rest 450 qty shorts held.

Anusantosh sorry I could not. Please can you share some examples where where DMI could have avoided whipsaws?

Amitagg - I had said only until 750 (which is the normal trade size I take) ...so once we hit 750 we remain at 750 or go back to 150
I suggested this only to those traders who want to keep risk low initially and build some profits so that they can ride through congestion periods with many whipsaws easily. I personally don't use it as I have made enough profits in the mkt from this strategy that I can ride through periods of drawdowns.

Rest 300 NF hedged by selling 8600 PE at 116

| sorry to interrupt this thread but can u clarify, that since price has touched ema 200 on 30 mins, naked shorts can be taken or old shorts to continue without any hedge, is it correct....??? |
