8000 CE is trading well above 300. Don't you think SL on it should have been 244 (1:1 risk reward)? You are under no obligation to reply. After all, it is your trade and your strategy. |

Murchha - yes that makes sense if it was a naked short... however I have been using it as a hedge to sell multiple ATM puts.... this hedge is necessary just in case this 500 points vertical rally which started at 7900 gets exhausted and we get 100-150 point correction...
Clearly till now there has been no correction yet so I continue to hold it.

NF is showing mild strength so existing 8300 PE at 28 and selling 2 lots of 8450 instead at 78 now.

NF seems to be reversing now so I will book the bullish legs today (sold PEs) and hold only the bearish leg now (sold CE) with a stop loss of 420. If this stop loss is hit, this trade automatically gets closed with al overall profit of 93 points.

To make small profits like this you have to make so many trades, follow ups and to always sell options need huge money. Following your old strategy when 200 ema cross over done on 30 min chart I bought 7900 CE its doubled and never touched its bought price till date!!!

True, but .....
1 How many trades can you do in a month/ 6m/ year waiting for 200 ema cross over on 30 min chart?
2 Why not have different strategies to be applied for different purposes, time periods?
3 May be small, small profits but remember, that many drops = ocean?
4 For eg, I myself done 210 pairs (buy- sell) and accumulated Rs 5.5 lakhs total this FY. If I waited only for big fish then I would be trading one day and sleeping other 19 trading days every month

Hi Anusantosh - I do trade Yorker both on 10 TF and 30 TF and I have regularly updated those threads too for months to prove it's profitability. There is no point continuously updating that thread now as it will be like preaching the converted... just because I am not updating that thread anymore doesn't mean I am not trading it... if you are a regular in shoutbox you will find me talking about Yorker there always..
Now I took up a challenge to prove traders can make money writing options too (delta neutral or delta biased) and I will update this thread for a few months to prove the same before stopping.
I am providing free strategies to people, its like walking into a buffet dinner and choosing what suits your palate. You can choose to eat one dish ...or you can choose to eat all of them....its upto you

8000 CE opened at 425 so exited the last leg with overall profit of 88 points in this trade.
