Thanks for posting your call.
But It will be better if you please write something about the basis for the selection of the stock, (Technical or Fundamental)

Cheers

Below 1440 LT is weak and if a day it closes below 1400 its best to go for 1380 PE.
Remember this is a scrip where there is a bonus proposal.2:1 Laughing

Dear Option traders,

Most of the time option traders loose money in BUY Call and BUY Put.
But try to learn SELL Call and SELL Put. You will win most of the time.

BC bhai: Please understand that:
(1) buy option= max loss is money invested in buying option, profit unlimited
sell option: max profit = money obtained by selling option, loss unlimited
Newcomers and non-experts should stick to safer type eg BUY
(2) Who told you you will win most of the time in selling? your broker? ad in home page of IC?
More than 90% of investors in NFO lose (=khona) money (not loose = dilla) whether you buy or sell!

Options are actually to hedge positions in cash or futures. Actually my guru told me that never ever try to sell options as risk and reward ratio is not good.

Option Selling is also called as Option writing.
Let's consider SBIN Call given by Mr. rrk200hyd
i.e. "buy SBIN july 2150CE with sl-18,for the targets 33-38-45".

Now,
SBIN july 2150CE closed at 28.00 (21.06.2013) & target is 33-38-45, Mr. rrk200hyd is expecting profit of Rs. 5-10-17.

For this situation I will suggest:

Selling of SBIN-July-1800-PE at Rs. 17.35 (21.06.2013) & target is Rs.0, expecting profit of Rs.17

Why?:

1. If SBIN stock moves +ve, then SBIN-July-1800-PE will becomes zero faster
2. If SBIN stock dose't moves +ve / -ve, then SBIN-July-1800-PE will becomes zero
3. If SBIN stock falls till Rs. 1800, then also SBIN-July-1800-PE will becomes zero

So i always prefer selling option CE/PE, but with proper strike price.

Let's see how it will work.
