Picture is getting quite clear after you explained it such detail, thanks a lot for the same, but one thing comes to mind, how to find such stocks which fulfill the criterias, i mean if we are going to check one by one, it will be a lot of time wasted. |
Hope you will share your views on the above matter.
one more thing hansraj, u suggested 5 and 26 ema cross over, which are very fast moving indicator, instead of this should we use 13 ema and 20 sma cross over, i think as it is a slow indicator, it will have less whipsaws.
Pls comment on the same. |
I have suggested 5, 13 & 26 ema i.e. 3 emas. This crossover is a benchmark for me. when 5 ema is above 13 and 26 ema, only then I buy a stock. But sometimes, 5 ema is between 13 and 26 ema, then I invest 50% on that particular stock and another 50% only after it crosses 13 ema also. Sometime I use this system vice-versa also. Suppose, I have bought a stock and it's price moved up, and then 5 ema comes below 13 ema, I exit 50%, now from there either it will cross below 26 ema or again come above 13 ema, if it comes below 26 ema, will exit completely from stock and if it comes again above 13 ema, will again buy 50% stocks which I sold when it came below 13 ema.
For stock selection criteria, earlier I was using nse and bse sites where stock movements were there and used to analyse 50-100 stocks per day. But now I am taking help of my friend who is using Amibroker and he gives some select stocks and I then check whether investment can be made on these stocks or not. However, now I am also learning to use Amibroker and will be doing on my own in the near future. For example, on closing of 14 Jan. he gave two stocks i.e. IGL and Kirloskar Oil. I have tested both but both have not found fit on risk reward ratio, so ignored these. You can test these on your own with the parameter we have discussed. |

could you tell us which ta software u use ? also do u use any stock screener ?
thanks for putting in so much effort for teaching us !
from my understanding from the previous post s
the order follows like this
1.check for price change patterns ( double top ,inverted head n shoulder etc)
2. then check for crossing of moving averages which append last 3 days .
3. then see if everything else clears .
however im still not able to figure out .how u can estimate the target and time taken ?
i have a suggestions but its going to take some of your time .i hope u get to do this when you have time .(so sorry to trouble you ) .could please take screen shots of the above steps when your scaning through next time .in that way ppl like me can learn more .thanks lot
wow .u just learnt last year huh ? ! thats gr8 ! i m inspired !! |
Hi Mahesh.. The answer to your querries are given below (answer to harshkapoors querries). So far I have given 8-9 stocks since 22 december. You can test these on any software or website how these have been selected for investment. All the stocks given till date had formed continuation Bullish Flag pattern on the charts. |

No scrip has qualified for fresh investment.
I just wish people to learn how to invest in stocks for short/medium/long term. I will not give calls on daily basis for long as sometime I don't even check whether any new stock is there or not for investment. My advice is to please practice on your own. This system of investment does not work on intraday trading, so please do not indulge into that. My experience is that we can earn more (as compared to intraday trading) by investing under this method and can save our time and energy. If you follow this system of investment, you don't even need to watch market during the day. Just give 20-30 minutes in the evening or morning (before opening of market) to review your portfolio and stock selection.
Thanks |

Hi
Thanks for such an overwhelming response. My humble request to you all. When you get profit from my calls & strategies, please buy some school bags, pencil boxes, painting colors, toys for poor children studying in community/public schools. This is the only remuneration I want from you all in return of my knowledge sharing and calls.
Thanks |

I only watch stocks which i find suitable for investment. I don't watch sectors, their reports, fundamentals, news. The breakouts given at moneycontrol.com or any other site are always known to general public. Everyone gets into trap through such sites, and I don't believe on these. Any how I will keep track of stocks given there for few days.
Generally it is hard to believe, but I have learnt like that only.
Thanks |

Hi Hansraj,
During my 5 months of trading(mainly losses ) ) I have seen many blogs and forums but none running for such a helping and noble cause. Your request to all the members following and earning profits from this forum for buying school items for poor children clearly separates you from the others.
Hats off man, keep up the good work.
Thanks & Regards
