How to calculate the TSL ?

There are various methods to calculate TSL - Using parabolic SAR, Using Volume pivots, Using Fibonacci levels, Using MA, Using ATR etc

I personally prefer using ATR with a simple technique that i have devised. Here's how it works...

Let's say we are in a long trade. We wait until we reach at least 1:1 risk/reward profitability. At this point, i wait for the candle close. Lookup the value of the indicator ATR (Average true range) on the last candle. Calculate 1/2 ATR i.e 0.5 * ATR. Lets say the candle low was 5200 and the ATR is 24. 1/2 ATR = 12. Subtract 1/2 ATR from the candle low.

Hello guys,

hope all of you are doing well Smile

just have a question regarding the bolded part of the italics taken from trade management thread written by Spec sir. I would like to know what is the last candle means? if the current candle is still running well past 1:1, and if the current candle formed a new high, we have to consider previous new high candle as last candle right?

Anyone who uses this method please let me know

thanks so much Smile)

I am also bit confused "How to use ATR as suggested"

But smartc, ichart's nf continuous 1-month chart shows, dsp in 15tf as 4950, which is also high of 31 may. So i think dsp should be 4950.

vinst,

i think,

30-tf usp 4783 taken out. so, downtrend started with dsp as 5008.

and, 15-tf dsp = 4924

is it correct ???

Dear Arjun,

Though i have developed my own trade set up but i find SSPS much more special. I was studying SSPS thread since 4.30 p.m. then i tried to identify usp dsp and read the post of sonila and vinst so requested him to post regularly so i can practice.

it will be great help if u guys post nifty fut levels and if possible couple of scripts levels regularly. i am going to subscribe icharts tomorrow just to learn SSPS.

Thanks

Regards

Bharat bhai,
Rarely it happens that Pivot has changed and it's not updated here. Sometimes it happens that pivot do not change for 2-3 days. So new members have look back in past.
Thanks for the suggestion. We will try to post regularly at day end even if pivot remains unchanged.

Request all members for contribution.
