sandew,

Based on the hourly charts, 4939 (8/6/10 low) is still the swing pivot. Looking for a signal to reenter longs in the next 1-2 days.

SMS

Considering the 30 min TF Swing pivot is at 5249-50. Price got a rejection from 34 EMA and made a new high and also have a look at RSI too.

5249 and 5207 are the rejections of the same swing and both made a new high with RSI also going to overbought levels. so 5207 is the lower rejection considerable swing pivot.

Today we had a RSI failure (RSI OB and turn down below 70 and failure to make new highs). So yesterday's buy signal from 5325 got a exit signal at 5338 for a teeny profit. Since we are still uptrending, no swing shorts yet. I will be on lookout for the next buy signal.

Hi Spec,
I see a reversal of trend under 5250. Rather on close below NS 5280 I have carried short this Friday into coming Monday June 28. This is the premise I currently stand at.

1. On the contrary, you are looking for long till the time Nifty remains above pivot (which could be 4933 or 5250 or 5203..for which please reconfirm).

2. The purpose of this post is to ask you
a) Can you post the chart in case you happened to go long this Fri June 25
b) In case not, can you narrate what set-up you would be looking at to go long.

PS. Your long set-up will be my exit of my shorts !

FOR QUICK GAINS ONE CAN USE THIS STRATEGY
SETUP

EOD CHART

10 SMA ( PLOT )

10 DMA ( PLOT ) EXPONENTIAL PERIOD 10 DISPLACEMENT 5 RIGHT

INTRADAY PIVOT

FOR LONG 10 SMA ( GREEN ) SHOULD BE ABOVE 10 DMA ( RED )

IF A STOCK CLOSES BELOW 10 DMA AND AFTER SOME DAYS OR THE NEXT DAY IF THE THE STOCK CLOSES ABOVE 10 SMA BUT DURING THIS PERIOD 10 SMA SHOULD BE ALWAYS ABOVE 10 DMA THEN GO LONG WITH A TRIALING SL OF SUPPORT 2 OF CANDLE PIVOT. SL SHOULD BE MODIFIED FOR THE COMING DAYS AS PER PIVOT SUPPORT 2.

REFER GUJNRECOKE CHART

FOR SHORT 10 SMA SHOULD BE BELOW 10 DMA ( ALWAYS )

APPLY VICE VERSA OF LONG FOR SHORT

1) 15 and 30-min will start downtrending only after a break of the 5250 pivot and the 60-min after breaking the 4933 pivot. So none of the timeframes are downtrending at this point to go short by swing pivot methods.

2) Yes, i had a setup for a long on friday on 60-min and got stopped out. The setup is the same for which i have posted umpteen number of charts over the last few weeks, with the trade setup shown in circle. i.e rejection/cross from 13 ema.

RCF,

Please post your strategy in a seprate thread. I am sure you know how to do that Very Happy If not, please read the help.

smsmss,

5359 is without question, the swing pivot here on both 30 and 60-min. Hope we break that tommorow and bring some volatility into this deadbeat Nifty market. Nifty VIX is trading at 18 -19 area again. I guess it was back in March we had this kind of extreme low volatility. Until Nifty VIX gets back above 20 ideally into 25 area, trading profits will be as thin as hair left on trader's heads Very Happy Wink

- Good luck !
Spec
