smsmss,
I have not been trading Nifty for more than a month. It just does not make any sense trading a market which does not move. Technical analysis alone is not enough to make money. Markets need to move
I said this in the SB the other day. Until NF VIX gets to around 23-25, i have no interest in trading NF. Nifty's range is currently very compressed and also has no follow through on any range expansion moves. It's a market for option writers currently, not traders.
Find some select stocks with good range and volatitlity, if you want to trade this market, not Nifty.

I had posted in the forum that option OI indicated 5300 would not break and that 5600 would break on the upside

What is your comment regarding? I didn't understand what you meant...I mean what you posted above, is it anyway related to what is being discussed here? Or is this just a random post in a random topic in a random forum?
Please clarify. Thanks.

I meant nifty option open interest indicated 5300 would not break and that 5600 would break on the upside.I had a posted a thread saying that - that is agreement with what you have written below and gives another perspective to chart analysis, which is always useful.
Here is the link to my post:
http://www.icharts.in/forum/5300-will-not-break-5600-will-break-upside-t2595.html
this confirms your chart analysis and is relevant to your post.If you do not think so ...I am sorry to have bothered you.

ST sir i hope you are happy with my clarification.
I was just mentioning another avenue of independant analysis- which is open interest of futures and options- to get some clues about market movement.
Did not mean any offense.
I come to icharts to make money not enemies.

Hello Spec,
Your information on volatility/ VIX has been highly useful to me, while trading in nifty.
By using the same, my success rate has just doubled.
Could you please also tell me, how to know the volatility of gold & other commodities through MCX or any other website.
Regards.

Very good system presented here.
Combining this with position sizing and risk management will sure give profits.
Impressive!

Now when someone say money managment we can pull our hair.
but it only means, go for postions which u can hold on. dont go for 500 lot sizes when account is 100000. go for 100 lot size scripts in this case.
And follow this system that is when u can see consistent profits. Without knowing what is the size of postition to enter into, any system gives headache and will be doubted/not followed.
