In uptrending markets, trade bullish rejections. In downtrending markets, trade bearish rejections.

Nifty:

Nifty has become very choppy on 15-min the last few days breaking pivots and alternating between uptrending and downtrending almost everyday. News is exacerbating the moves and causing a lot of false pivot breaks. But the 30-min trend has been steady.

15-min: Downtrending, Downswing Pivot 5597.1
30-min: Uptrending, Upswing Pivot 5310

Copper:

30-min: Uptrending, Upswing Pivot 446.35

Spec Sir,
In the above case, what do you think would be the appropriate approach. trade in the direction of the higher TF? ie wait for bullish rej in 15 tf?

Dear Jai2000

On 4th march Nifty make low @5532 (2:00pm) then shows positive indication in 15-min (Close above 8 and 34-EMA with previous candle high) then after immediately market came down and make new close.
So can we consider it as stop loss triggered? or cand we hold position till 5480 didn't break.
I want to know that after these kind of positive formation if low (5532) breaks then can we hold our position till 15 or 30-min Swing pivot dosen't break.
Also can we expect that due to this positive formation market will definately come up and make new high?

Awaiting for feed back

Regards
Ashis

Dear Jai2000,

Thanks for reply.
It's my pleasure if you will clear my bellow confusion.
As we know that in 15-min market went bellow 34-EMA in so as per 15-Min. S.P. is 5480 but now as far as 30-min T/F is concern is it also 5480 because it didn't touch 34- EMA in 30- min. but yes it is near to to 34 EMA. So just guide as per 30-EMA which is perfect s.p. 5480 or 5310?

Regards
Ashis

As per 30min TF, 5480 touched the 34ema and then made a higher high. So 5480 is now SL.
I am not looking at 15min TF.

Spec

I went through your method and have posted the 15 mins chart of the last few days marking entries and exits (Type I). Please let me know if I have understood your method correctly. Point out mistakes if any.

I have a question regarding SP6 market by Ravi. After SP6, NF didn't make a higher high. Therefore, I could not understand, how SP6 was taken as upswing pivot?

Hi Vinst

True After SP6, market did not make a higher high... So it cannot be considered as a SP... Maybe Spec/Shekar can clarify... So if we don't exit at SP6, we would have been stopped out of SP5 today which is at 5477.20... and shorts initiated with stop at RH - 5576.50 ain't it?

Regards
Ravi

I think 5576.5 should not be stop for short. stop should be 5612.

Spec

Why can't the downswing pivot be 5576.50 as it's made a new recovery low after testing 34 EMA... Also if the price comes down today can the DSP7 (marked in my chart) be the new downswing pivot? I wanted your inputs on the chart I posted.

Regards
