Hi Spec,
Once a while I peep into icharts' Forum just only to see whats the update on this thread. This is serving me well. All glory to you.
Two requests:

1. Do post charts showing how and what you actually traded on the nifty yesterday (Thursday) and today (Friday) considering their gap openings, (not ideal trade of the day). Do give the time frames you used for entry, and for exit, the triangle breach, rejection, etc. Just mark the entry, SL and exit. Swing Pivots and the trend direction is clear.

2. "Momentum benchmarking of pivots" is one concept you referred but left unexplained. I request if you can post a chart or two with or without a very small write up. I know it is complex so just touch the basics and the rest I will explore.

Thank You again.

In uptrending markets, trade bullish rejections. In downtrending markets, trade bearish rejections.

Nifty:

15-min: Downtrending, Downswing Pivot 5611
30-min: Downtrending, Downswing Pivot 5611

Copper:

30-min: Uptrending, Upswing Pivot 416.20

Copper had a trend reversal on Friday on both 30-min and 60-min charts.

1. As i have said many times here, i do nothing special other then trade rejections as per the rejection rules and the rejection rules for Entry, Stop etc are clear and there is little need to post them. And i take all signals winners or losers. Sometimes i may skip a trade, when i have met my weekly profit targets and if the signal requires large stop. For the exit rules, i am preparing a document which i will post in a day or two.

2. Momentum benchmarking of pivots - That was an experiment that i was doing. Since it did not give positive results, we might file it in the category of failed experiment.

I hope the Downswing Pivot has moved to 5562 now as NF has made a new recovery low today (below 5400).

In uptrending markets, trade bullish rejections. In downtrending markets, trade bearish rejections.

Nifty:

15-min: Downtrending, Downswing Pivot 5562
30-min: Downtrending, Downswing Pivot 5562

If you are conservative 5572 can also be considered a swing pivot as the first rejection started from there and did not lead to new lows. But it would hardly make much difference.

Copper:

30-min: Downtrending, Downswing Pivot 424.45

Copper struggled all day to defend the upswing pivot, but gave way in the end. The Japan news was to much for it to handle given how the international markets collapsed. Copper back to a sell now.

Dear sir,

As we know that as per our theory range was 5600 to 5400 and after breaking 5400 leval yesterday new range come to 5376 to 5562 / 72.

some analyst were asking that support level was 5370. and after breaking 5400 leval market take support @ 5576 (N.F) so can you update us that how they come to 5370 leval ?

With the help of our technique how can we come at this 5370 support leval?

Awaiting for your valuable comment.

Regards
Ashis

Copper back to a uptrend today. Copper has also started a range bound behaviour after a lengthy fall.

I have a different count on the Swings. 60M NF
Nifty is in Uptrend with Swing High at 5431 (formed on March 15 at 1500 hrs. when Nifty pierced upwards the previous rejection level of 5504 formed earlier at 1300 hrs. on March 15.

Now at 1200 hrs today there are two scenarios developing. CMP 5513 NF.

a) Nifty breaks below 5475 and this will form new Swing Low of 5544 and trend will then be Down.

alternate

b) Nifty pierces level of 5553 upwards and this will form a new Swing High of 5475 and the trend will remain Up.

Maybe someone can post a chart 60M/13 ema and oblige., please.

PostScript

@ Ravi

Your observations above.
I view that since March 14, NF 60M is in a triangle making lower Tops and higher Lows, the range is narrowing, and all the action is around the 13 ema. This forms multiple pivots in quick succession. (I usually draw a Line chart instead of Bar or Candlestick and the Swings become obvious)

NF has to break 5375.60 to form a new recovery low, If it does that 5528.80 would be the new swing pivot. Current swing pivot is at 5562, in both the time frames. Anybody with me?

Regards
Ravi

Thank you for this wonderful piece of work. Undoubtedly, the
