This needs to be organized.? Can we post charts for other stocks in another thread.

no shorts till the pivot around 5450 breaks.
if u took entry at pivot break of around 5992/ took long at rejection , then u may or may not have position based on ur sl.
they are two separate things.
1.Pivot tells u uptrend/ downtrend.
2.once u know the trend, how u enter, what is ur sl,
someone correct me if i am wrong

ok...I got the point.
But, why are we not moving this pivot to 1,2,3 as show in my attached image, as we are trading above 34 ema and having rejections at 34 ema and making new highs.
why 1,2,3 are not the swing pivots?

We are not trading above prev pivot at 5592....
pivot by defn should make a new high which isnt the case here

Hi Speculator,
Could you please add entry / exit points and current SL?
That would be really helpful. Because tracking pivots is relatively easy as compared to timing entries and exits.

Current entry was at SL of prev short trade @5592.
SL of current long trade is at 5444.

I understand that this strategy is pretty mechanical in approach though the levels are derived from chart rather than from a system. I think you would have done some testing of the same. Would be thankful if you could provide a back-test of the system for last couple of years (preferably from 2007).
Reason for my request is to see how it performs in various market conditions.

That's a big SL.
I think as per method it's immediately below the break out candle.

Trading rejections is much easier than tracking the pivots. I have written a post on how to trade rejections and shown numerous examples on trading rejections with entry/stop/exit shown in the charts. You just need to follow 3 rules for rejection. Search the archives. You will find it.

Dear all
There is no change in trend however ril made new low hence the DSP in all tf has moved down..
15 tf: down trending with downswing pivot shifted to 966
30 tf : down trending with down swing piovt 966
Sbi: downtrending but no change in piovt ie 2727.65 in 15 tf as well as 30 tf
